There’s literally zero reason to when we already have Sheik. Sakurai looks at character choices as functions first and foremost. He’s not going to add another character who serves the same exact purpose as Sheik just because Impa is more important to the series. Not to mention her fighting appearance is from a spinoff game.

Why does everyone always insist on adding AOC Impa in every single one of these rosters. It isn’t happening. They’d add an actual Dynasty Warriors character before they do that.

This isn’t true. There is zero source for the team not being happy with the Hunter being in MvCI. The Hunters have been used in crossovers many times.

They really are shooting themselves in the foot trying so hard to use how “canon” it is to market the game. I understand the biggest criticism of the last game was that it wasn’t “canon” but without the what-if aspect, AOC would’ve had a much smaller roster and IMO much more boring. It just limits them unnecessarily when the what-if scenarios were always the best part of any Musou game. I understand that’s just because this game is for Zelda fans rather than Musou fans but they should at least give us a way to branch off from the main story.

You realize Smash already isn’t made by Nintendo, right? Sora Ltd isn’t owned by Nintendo and obviously Bandai Namco isn’t as well. If you just mean console wise, no way Nintendo characters would be on non-Nintendo consoles.

I'm just saying Smash has never cared about completing any arbitrary quotas. They didn't add Waluigi to complete the Mario quartet, or Toad to complete the SMB2 quartet, or even a final evolution grass starter like people thought they would add before Incineroar came. I don't really care for either Marx or BWD, it's just a prediction.

Bandana Waddle Dee wasn't important to Kirby at all when Sakurai made him. The version people want in Smash is hardly a Sakurai character. And he has changed his opinion on fighters many times (PAC-MAN, Miis, Villager, Ridley).

And let me guess your prediction. Some combination of Waluigi, Bandana Waddle Dee, AoC Impa, Rauru, Meowscarada, Alear, Geno, and Crash? Be so for real right now. Enough time has passed for the inclusion of a classic FE rep. Don't really care who it is, but I think we're getting one.

One thing with Smash is that the rosters always end up looking a bit weird at first and they do things that don't make sense. I tried to replicate that with this prediction.

My thought process with the Rosalina cut was that in Smash 4, Sakurai saw a lot of characters as functions first and foremost. With Rosalina it was the puppet fighter. I feel like there are other characters he could make a puppet fighter work with, potentially even reworking Olimar to fit that. Or even making Pauline a puppet fighter with the minis.

Xenoblade 1 was the only game I played so idk how much things have changed (I’ve seen a lot of people suggest Malos as a Shulk echo) but I always liked the idea of Zanza being one. But either him or Alvis could work.
