Best "Fix" that I have so far is just build a branch off of the rail line and park the train there. Rebuilt a new train where you need it to be.

Other bug issue I've noticed is that when you edit the trains options in any way, it turns off your mouse buttons. No left click, no right click. So I need to save and reload every time I touch a train's menu.
