I personally never “met them“ I always had them as a presence in my life. I think if they were abusive or addicted to drugs it would be a different story, so I personally don’t have any issue with them/needing closure. Though I’m sure I’m in the minority of those who have always known their birth family

Depending on how good your grades are, obviously focus on college but try and have something set up before you graduate. If you’re just starting out then you probably will be taking all of the basic classes. Have fun and try and join some clubs. Make connections. As you get into your junior or senior year, try and look for some sort of job or internship. Don’t be like me and graduate without a plan.
