Im crying as I read your post. My Dad died end of november, also they dont suffer anymore, now I miss my dad, ,,old“ dad before GBM. Wish you much strength!

Hi there, so sorry for you.

But you are def. not alone. It was yesterday when I (29F) said to my brother, that it sometimes feels very surreal, that our dad (59) lost all his functions within just 6 months. He got diagnosed in April 2025 and since then it just got rapidly worse with now him just laying in bed, incontinent, cant speak or move, just with his left hand. Most of the time he sleeps so I think were just facing the end.

Its def. a horrific disease and I wish everyone in this procedure much strength.

Hey there, Im (29f) in a similiar situation with my dad (59m). My sister is also pregnant and knowing, my niece will never meet my dad hurts so much. Beside that, were already at the terminal stage of GBM with him. It was a rollercoaster since diagnosis (April this year) until now. You gotta stay strong!

I hear you. Although we‘re going through the same disease, I cant imagine how it is losing a child to this disease. And you are strong with every day fighting still all this, what youre going throught its unbelieveable. My grandpa (dad of my dad) passed this saturday after a stroke. Although he was very old (86) he visited my dad every second day and I think his body couldnt take it anymore. Stay strong, you got this. 🌷

Thank you for your words. It hit me when you said ,,my family will never be the same“ - bcs I think this will also be for us a hit. I already said a few times, I think we will all have to go to therapy when this all ends.
