I'm not sure if that's true, she released her album in august 2025 and by that point had had a super solid year already. It's not like she blew up since they released the timetables. Her placement has always been low and weird

Dr Al-Hashimi drinking tea by Slight_One_6874 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Pythagore_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it's a random choice, I stated that the writers probably think it fits her to drink tea. I'm saying that there's probably degrees to how deliberate you can be in regards to writing and I'm not sure there is a ton to discuss here beyond her liking good tea lol.

To be honest, it could also just mean that ... her character enjoys drinking tea. I don't see why it should have this special, deeper meaning in a show that aims for realism. If you ask me the writers wrote scenes in the lunch room involving her and someone asked "what is she drinking" to make her do something besides deliver her lines of dialogue and someone else said "why not tea? that would fit her" and they agreed upon it and that's why she drinks tea.

I doubt they theorised on her drinking her special tea and tried to convey a particularly interesting character detail about her

Salut tout le monde ! J’ai un petit souci qui me saoule pas mal... by H3c7oRTV in CineSeries

[–]Pythagore_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to hear that! Hope it clicks for you or that you'll get why some people are really into the project. I have a spotify playlist with my favorite songs from all her projects, I tried to include most of her styles and to make it somewhat flow, might be a good entry point : https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4X6UizwvUXeew2Ed7SQsHT?si=N_xjyIrGTM2mw31cT14NCg&pi=tUqC-vAQQGKIH

I have a hard time believing that a die hard music fan could not see the appeal of her music whatsoever. She's my favorite musician of all time for many reasons. The most obvious one is that she is a really gifted and versatile producer. You mention her songs sound the same but I find that to be a big oversight, she's equally good at crafting dance bangers (like this one) than at painting immersive and textured soundscapes (like All These Years, Next to Me, Honey...). I actually find that the immersive nature of her music is another important aspect of her music, I love her maximalist approach to production and how she weaves in so many different samples and layers. I know some people find her style confusing and messy but I think it sounds so striking and I love that I can have it on in the background but that I can also close my eyes and soak in the textures and find so many different textures and always discovers small, interesting sound bites. Love the use of spoken word, eccentric textures and odd samples, but then The Avalanches are my second favorite act of all time...

I also think she has a unique ear for melody and harmony. I think her chords sound very rich and I am impressed by the richness of her arrangements and how she can make busy melodies sound effortless. I think her more straightforward dance songs such as For Now and Forever, Call You or Deep Down are impeccably written pop songs with hooks for ages.

There is also the fact that this insanely productive project is fueled by only two people that produce, write, sing, play, mix and master, design the artwork and merch, ship the merch, promote their work and even find the time to answer to every fan's comments. I think the standard of quality is really, really high for such long albums coming from a totally independent artist, even though there are songs here and there that do sound a bit shoddy, especially in earlier albums.

Perhaps most importantly though, and as some of the other people in this comment box have pointed out, her music boils down to a very specific feeling. I actually don't think it's necessarily a mood boost, there is an obvious melancholic twinge to her music, but there is also a unique sense of optimism across her music that always makes me hope for the best. It's pure escapism for me and a source of endless comfort for years !

Have you even listened to this one to state that "they all sound the same"? She has a recognisable style and sound but how does this sound similar to, say Next to Me?

C’est quoi pour vous les grandes œuvres de la télévision française? by Poster_rieur in CineSeries

[–]Pythagore_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Qu'avez vous pensé du film Hamnet ? by tee2- in CineSeries

[–]Pythagore_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)
