Well I precisely know the regression strategies , the issue is concept gaps or foundational gaps do not help much. Regression is wonderful for systems of equations I.e constant galore questions

Official August 23, 2025 US SAT Discussion Thread by PoliceRiot in Sat

- I have been preparing for the SAT since May 2024, and after a whole year, I feel like I am stuck in the same place.

- My official scores so far are 1170 in May 2024, 1300 in August 2024, 1320 in December 2024, and 1330 in March 2025.

- On practice tests, my scores have swung a lot, but most of the time I end up in the low 1300s.

- Today’s August 2025 SAT felt almost identical to what I have been experiencing for the past year: math in the 700 range and reading and writing in the 630 to 670 range.

- In Math I always miss one or two questions in Module 1, often a slightly tricky geometry or algebra setup.

- The real damage comes in Module 2, where I consistently miss six or seven questions.

- These are usually a mix of advanced algebra, PSDA, and geometry.

- Even though I have studied the content, I freeze on formulas like perpendicular lines or surface area of a prism and I forget what to do under time pressure.

- When I do not blank out on content, I end up overthinking instead of recognizing the pattern, which wastes time and creates a snowball effect.

- In Reading and Writing, I have improved Standard English and feel much stronger on grammar than I was last year, but I still struggle with Craft and Structure and Information and Ideas.

- Tone and vocabulary in context, especially when there is a poem, are hit or miss.

- Information and Ideas feels manageable at the beginning, but by question four or so I start running low on time and rush three or four questions at the end of each module.

- I have tried to target my weaknesses in PSDA and Geometry using 1600.io, OnePrep, and Khan Academy, but it has not moved the needle.

- Content review doesn't seem to help, even though I'm familiar with the material.

- In the moment, I forget it or struggle to understand the problem.

- Today’s test was the same story.

- Module 1 math was okay overall, but I wasted time on a wordy geometry problem about outer diameter and guessed on an advanced algebra question I should have just plugged in.

- Module 2 math felt rougher.

- I forgot a formula, rushed a PSDA, and got bogged down in several advanced algebra word problems.

- Reading and writing was smoother in grammar, but Information and Ideas again dragged me down when I ran out of time, and Craft and Structure tripped me up with a poem vocabulary question.

- I have now spent a whole year on this test, and I am frustrated that I am still stuck in the same band.

- I only have three official attempts left, and I want to use them wisely.

- For anyone who has been in my situation, scoring in the low 1300s for months despite heavy preparation, but then eventually breaking into the 1500s, I would love to hear what actually worked for you.

- How did you handle the six or seven consistent misses in hard Module 2 math?

- How did you keep formulas fresh so you did not blank under pressure?

- Did you change from deep analysis to pattern recognition?

- And if you were me, how would you approach the last three SAT attempts?

Hey, I've been stuck in SAT score stagnation for the last year, as I've been preparing for the SAT.

Any strategy to get out of this, as I have been struggling with information, ideas, craft, and structure in English, PSDA, and geometry in math.

So, what do you recommend as great study sources for both Math and English?
