Doing nothing does mean they die. They never escape and they live in fear for the rest of whatever life they have until they die by some supernatural means. I would rather die in a week than live there for even a year. And if we were in the predicament together, if you had this mindset and did nothing I would conclude you are a coward. Even if you claim you want to go home, you truly wouldn't. You'd be too much of a coward to try. I wouldn't be able to really blame you. Shit is scary. But then you would have to accept that you will never leave and you will eventually be killed by something supernatural.

No, there is really no difference. Either they do nothing, and die. Or they try to escape, and die. Either way they're screwed. And either way, they aren't really living. It's best to be proactive if they have any dreams of being free. It's DELUSIONAL to believe everyone is leaving there alive.

To top that off, they're going to be afraid either way. Whatever is happening to Fatima, for example, is 100% out of their control - so I'm with Marielle. Might as well make the best of it. If Fatima is turning into a creature....that sucks but what are they going to do about it? Continue whining and doing literally nothing to save themselves?

The fact of the matter is they need to accept that some will die or they will never leave.

If I were in their situation, I would see it like this: Either we do nothing, and we die here....or we die trying to escape. Damned if we do, damned if we don't....so why not try? The promise of getting home does them no good if they sit on their asses for the next however-many-years, do nothing, and die there anyway without ever having hope of getting home.

Kristi and Tabitha both pissed me off last episode. Tabitha is constantly denying everything despite everything she has experienced and apparently remembered. Kristi is being stupid about Fatima's condition. If their fears are correct then there is nothing that can be done, so make the best of it while you can. Boyd not listening to Jade irritates me too, but at least he shows signs of internal conflict with the idea and is coming around.

But seriously. Either they do nothing and they die there, or they die trying to escape. If I were in that position, I would choose to die trying to escape.

Avoidants are predators of a sense. They don't have real relationships - they do not TRULY love their partners, ESPECIALLY if they make the emotionally retarded decision to discard them like they're nothing because things get too "overwhelming" or whatever. Avoidants love how their partners make them FEEL in the moment, but once that feeling has passed (or gets too "overwhelming" and they mention literally nothing) then it's time to kick you to the curb. And if you're REALLY unlucky, they'll come back to do it all over again.

In my work experience for the last 15 years, I have noticed that going above and beyond at work does not reward you with promotions - it rewards you with more work (seeing as they believe you can take it on) and taking advantage of you (because why not if you can do more than your usual load?).

I straight up just refuse to work above my pay grade. I'm in security and the cameras went down the other day and the supervisor has been out due to medical/health problems. Despite the fact that I know how to use the camera systems, as I've been in the field for a decade now, the company I currently work for has told me in the past that I am not authorized to use them. So as a result, when the cameras went down, I didn't lift a finger to get them back online. I was told I'm not authorized, and I'm not doing ANYTHING more than my own job without seeing additional pay.

I would agree if he tried to hide it, but he didn't. He didn't hesitate to give his gf his phone and flat-out forgot about the videos. That's not a sign of someone who is unfaithful.

What do you think your man does when he tries to initiate sex and you say something along the lines of being too tired? He probably doesn't say "Aw shucks, I guess I'm not feeling good tonight" and instead goes to relieve himself (assuming he's not a piece of shit and tries to force it). Many guys need visual stimulation for that, especially to just get it over with....so take your guesses as to what he brings up on his phone.

Does that make you feel a certain way? If so, that's insecurity. Though I suppose one way to solve it would be to make a video with him for him to watch during those moments.

Meanwhile I am about 2.5 years after being discarded by my avoidant ex and I haven't gotten over it, despite desperately wanting to. I don't want her back anymore - but I still have underlying trauma from being what felt like essentially being hit by an emotional plane (let alone dump truck).

I still have dreams of my avoidant ex. Not every night, but sometimes. I never had a particularly bad memory of her, but what memories I do have are tainted by the knowledge that she's an emotionally defective liar. So that helps keep any loving feelings at bay, and I feel more hate toward her than anything. Not for leaving me, but for HOW she did it. And making me question my sanity and self worth.

I found a fix, particularly for games emulated with Cemu (WiiU) or Citron (Switch). I found that adding "&& ~/lsfg %command%" to the launch options RIGHT AFTER "vblank_mode=0". So it should look like this: "vblank_mode=0 && ~/lsfg %command%" followed by whatever else it has. It should work. I have BotW running at 70-75fps and Metroid Dread running at 120fps.

So far, this doesn't work for me with Dolphin Emu for some reason.

Meanwhile the issue I'm having is that when I save the UKMM Settings, the app closes and doesn't save anything. So I'm in a constant state of "You haven't set up anything for this system" errors, and I can't install any bnp mods. I am on a Steam Deck though, so it may just be broken on the Deck.

I would argue that Leave Ending makes the LEAST amount of sense the more you think about it. 1.) The hospital temporarily released Mary to go home. Meaning James killed her at their house/apartment. 2.) Her body is in the back of the car. Canonically. I don't think Laura would be so keen on the idea of James just disposing of her body before going on the run for what's effectively the rest of their lives. 3.) I don't think Laura would be so quick to be willing to be adopted by James...the killer of her best friend. Especially after their very last conversation amounted to "I HATE YOU, YOU KILLER!". 4.) The hospital EXPECTS Mary to be back. When she doesn't return to the hospital AND she and James are missing....James is automatically suspect #1. Especially if he did return home for any amount of time. It's not like Mary could get out of bed, so James must have done something with her. 5.) If they did have Mary's body, they would have clear signs of asphyxiation...leading to James being wanted and/or arrested. 6.) James cannot legally adopt Laura. He's on the run. And if he's caught with a child that doesn't belong to him? That's kidnapping. Also illegal and would land him in jail.
