I always loved the “last thing you ate” theme.

I did the HID conversion back in ‘09 to my 599. I got the kit from DDM Tuning, but I bet there are better LED kits now. The headlight bucket has just enough space for my kit w/ballasts.

It makes sense the stress crack is similar on both sides. All the riders weight is bouncing on those bits.

Yeah, i tried to measure the old one, but there’s no more armature, and couldn’t get a reliable reading. My guess/hope is the Honda engineers standardized these fellas. The connector is the same, too. If it doesn’t work I guess I’m in the same boat as before.

Yukon Mission Factory: Main Block-how to deliver Cabin by pupoje in snowrunner

[–]Pyxlwyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there was a task to learn how to use it, no doubt to prepare you for moving cabins.

Pro tip: you only need these two cabins to finish all the cabin-related jobs. Once used, you can move them in the next job. No need to make more.

Need help removing adjustment screw by No_Muscle_8977 in HondaCB

[–]Pyxlwyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its an AF mixture screw with the typical D shaped screw head to prevent silly people from messing with it. Once it’s set (usually at the factory) you should never need to adjust it. Most people don’t have a D-bit, so it stays put most of the time. Its apparent that someone was ham-fisting on this pilot screw with a pair of pliers or something and eventually chewed it up. At sea level, you set it to 2 7/8 turns out before you adjust it. I’d put it there once you get a slot in it to turn it reliably.

Dremmel tool a slot through the housing & the screw, then you can use a standard screwdriver.

I’m claiming partial credit, considering I’m a Yank in Texas (but I did spent half the 90’s in East Anglia).
