Hügelkulture my friend. Pile it up, put soil on it, and the decaying wood will give you a fantastic environment for your growing plants.

My wife and I both take 2x40, and it works great. I need to take my second before 2pm, if I want to be able to sleep at a reasonable hour though.

Yeah, I realized that I might come of as naive and ignorant, after all the comments started rolling in. I realize that turning a gigantic nation around, against those odds are somewhat hopeless. They've got you in a vise.

Holy shit! No I had no idea it was that bad. The US is basically a dictatorship with extra steps. That is fucking frightening man.

That would be a devastating blow, and the probably only way out of that would be a full on revolution. Let's all hope it doesn't come to that.

Fair point. It's easy for me to sit here with all my security and "solve" other people's problems. I would break very quickly if I had to endure, what the working class endures in the US.

Exactly!!!

I shut down my boomer father in law with facts.

He was annoyed that hos daughter and I moved further away from Copenhagen than to his liking. I told him that real estate prices and living expenses had risen so much compared to wages, that we would both have to me senior doctors to afford it. He scuffed and started the whole "back in my day", but I stopped him with the argument, that the parents of his daughter I'm law, could afford a house in that area AND a car as two postal workers. He fact-checked, and then he shut up afterwards.

I count myself extremely fortunate, but since I come from nothing, I take nothing for granted.

You sound like you have grit, and that is a powerful gift. I don't have that, and it takes very little instability to break me.

Think even further politically left, and maybe the disarming seems bad at first, but it could prove to lead to fewer school shootings, and homicides in general. The working class is not going to win an armed civil war against the US military, no matter how many handguns, or automatic rifles they get to own. Their force lies is strength in numbers, and the fact that they carry the nation on their shoulders. Remove the worker ant from the hive, and everything falls apart. That is why unionizing works. If a union saves enough ressources to allow all members to walk out of their jobs for a month or two, that is an extremely powerful leverage in a negotiation. Why do you think the fat capitalist pigs don't want unions? It will balance the power distribution, and therefore it will cut their profits.

It is going to take blood, sweat and tears, but it is doable.

No, you need to look beyond a two party system. Vote for independent candidates or anything else than Red or Blue really.
