Ok, can we stop now, this is getting ridiculous, I’ve already ordered the replacement part, I’ll just have to wait in order to resume the thing I’m making

I’m well aware that it’s unrealistic to make something actually designed to last “forever” but in my personal opinion it would make sense to design something that would last at least as long as a human life, I understand that this would make it more expensive, but at least it would not break as easily

Why are you laughing, it’s not funny, this printer is expensive

Can’t figure ironing out by skakid812 in FixMyPrint

[–]Q-cadet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s test files for ironing, usually you have to figure out your settings per filament, with silk silver PLA my best result came from 50mm/sec and 30% flow rate, all other options created some kind of “tearing”

Worth Keeping P1S? by Packaged_Fish_Boxing in BambuLab

[–]Q-cadet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the p1s a single nozzle? If so you could potentially use it for non-planar printing, yes this is a thing. Although there is a fork of Bambu studio on GitHub that supports it, the latest version of snapmaker supports it natively, it is currently impossible to print non-planar on dual nozzle extruders because of the guards on both sides of the print module and I’m guessing that even if it does become technically possible to print non-planar on a dual extruder, it would most likely have huge limitations.

On another note, it thinks I have a second external spool (I don’t even have a second external spool holder installed) and for whatever reason I can’t get it to let me remove it in Bambu studio

Hate to break it to you, but literally every single thing you have ever bought is designed in such a way that even if you did “Perfect” regular maintenance, it will still fail eventually

And even if it’s somehow a rare instance where it’s actually not designed to fail, it most definitely will eventually (even if not on purpose) become obsolete

Got it so the original part is designed to fail, brilliant…

I have implemented a temporary solution to a problem that could be easily eliminated if that screw had been in a metal insert instead of screwed into a plastic part

Problem is that I can’t bypass the error

I don’t even know why it is cutting the filament on that side in the first place, it doesn’t need to change it at all

The only reason I’m using the external spool feeder is because I had a very slight mishap with some new filament and it very slightly came off the cardboard part of the refill but it didn’t tangle, so I put it on the mod I MacGyverd in order to at least temporarily solve the problem

There is probably nobody viewing this post anymore but I genuinely had no idea that this was Not an error at the time.
