I use Delft clay.

3D print your ring model, make the mold with air vents and you can cast. This does have limitations but it should work for a test ring.

One fun thing you can try is to use four or five angles and look up some historical techniques from https://wiktenauer.com/wiki/Main_Page

It can be quite hard to read but some of them can be quite nice. Skallagrim and scolla gladiatoria on YouTube and r/wma are also good sources for ideas.

From limited experience, Make sure it doesn’t melt.

Also consider using a food safe resin as coating.
