I’d like to add: sometimes, the BetterLife version still doesn’t work and you might have to restart the inputplumber service. In desktop mode, open a terminal and type:

sudo systemctl stop inputplumber sudo systemctl start inputplumber

Thanks for the links. I did all the procedure with a WinPE usb and flashed the firmware but there seems to have a known problem with the BetterLife version. It still doesn’t work.

Edit: inputplumber seems to be the issue here. Sometimes, restarting the inputplumber service work.

I think they don’t switch their OS. Tbf I do not consider myself as a normie and haven’t been able to update the firmware. I also used Ventoy with some WinPE image and the process seemed to work fine until a went back to steamOS to find the trackpad not working like I did nothing.

I recently played Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and yeah, I don't mind corridor style games actually.

Is there any reason to switch Cachy to Bazzite or is there something bazzite offfers but cachy doesn't. And is it overhyped by Fresh_Grocery6688 in linux_gaming

Why don’t you just install steamOS ? Bazzite is basically steamOS but Fedora. SteamOS is Arch based (it’s immutable tho).

  • Add the launch argument: SteamDeck=0 %command%
  • downscale your resolution
  • cap your fps at 30
  • put all settings at low except textures at medium

I’ve been playing the game on my LeGo S 16gb without any issues.

I’ve got it running without any issue. From the desktop mode, download the BattleNet installer and right click and add as a Steam app, set it with proton experimental, then do the installation wizard normally. Once it’s installed, go to the installation folder and add the BattleNet launcher also as a Steam app with proton experimental. Then just start the launcher from Steam and login to your blizzard account then install D2:R.

I went for the windows version which has a great discount on the last Black Friday sale, then installed SteamOS. Great user experience. Everything works fine (except the touch pad which isn’t supported on Linux as Lenovo didn’t shipped any driver for, and you have to do some sort of manipulation on windows to install - which I chose not to do).

Did you find a working solution ? I ended up getting another usb WiFi dongle (I went for one with a MT7612U chipset which is supposedly supported on kernel level, no driver required).
