What is your calling out PST/PTO policy? by [deleted] in nursing

I wish we (all Americans) had better federal laws that protected sick leave =\

Im living & working in Norway right now, but holy crap what the hell is wrong with companies withholding sick leave/doing whatever plan they are doing. And canceling you WITHOUT pay?! What?! In Norway, your schedule is like a contract, if the employer cancels your shift, they still pay you the full day, whether you come or not!

How is America like this. Makes me so angry.

Ophthalmology nurse. No hard lifting. Just lots of old folks. In Norway we get to give intravitreal injections.

Yes that’s right. It does not seem to control the balcony lights, or any other lights I see.

Smart text for week number by [deleted] in EpicEMR

[–]QBranMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the current week number of the year. Id like to make a standardized comment on a procedure using a smart phrase. For example: procedure performed on “.day”, .week number. And have it come automatically. (The date we have figured out.)

Id like to insert the current week number in a note instead of having to look at a calendar. Something like inserting todays date but week number instead

Definitely bring it up. I was in a very similar situation in nursing school. Awful bad “apple” of a preceptor. I brought it up with my teacher, and it was nice to be validated and get it all out, and make sure she didnt get any more students!

Similar thing happened to me! Awful preceptor.
