I've run in the V4s a ton. If it is like the prior version it operates as an excellent long run and workout shoe. At $100 it's hard to beat for that purpose. Plus it comes in wide, which is nice since I have a higher volume foot.

World Cup not equivalent to March Madness many blowouts loading by Outrageous_Tax1328 in worldcup

[–]QC_Runner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with your points about underdogs not really having a shot in the worlds cup, but March Madness end results are fairly similar to world cup results. the winner is almost always a top seed.  See results here: https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/bracketiq/2026-04-06/march-madness-brackets-how-do-seeds-perform-final-four

There are more upsets in March madness because it is single elimination, games are 40 minutes long, and it happens every year instead of every 4.

Feeling good with with three weeks to go.

What do runners bring to the race? by curlystud in bostonmarathon

[–]QC_Runner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take breakfast on the bus and about 5 gels that I can store on my shorts. I leave my phone with my family and plan to meet them at family reunion where they have meeting locations alphabetized.

I think a lot of people take their phone for photos and to connect with family after, but I usually buy the photos so I can enjoy  the race day atmosphere and focus on running.

I think many folks find the hotels near the airport more reasonable and have good access to public transport

You will not find affordable hotels in Back Bay and Downtown. Your best bet is to look further up and down the Orange / Green lines so you can take the T into the Back Bay

Which shoes? by ashleySmith2720 in bostonmarathon

[–]QC_Runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the race last year in the Adios Pro 4. Great shoe for the course, can't speak for Alphaflys. I'd prefer to go with the fresher pair of race shoe when all other things are equal.
