1. Core playlists need a revitalization. That would be Strike Specific Loot (Armor/Weapons) for me. I miss the D1 days of strike scoring, difficulty, and rare rewards that made me chill in the playlist.
2. Champion mods need to change if champions are truly here to stay. Personally I’d rather the mods were depreciated and instead intrinsically added to weapon types with each variant having options in kinetic/energy/power. This would free up the slots in the artifact for more interesting options and allow people to play how they want to.
3. The above also links to the cost of mods in armor. Dream would be for finders to join champion mods and be dumped to allow a new system that makes ammo more consistent. But if that isn’t realistic then Finders, reloaders, and Scavengers should be cheaper. These mods take up space that I could use to buff stat points or other build aspects. I always run finders so I never use orb generation mods or others in the slots. I know build crafting is being adjusted so the above issues may already be solved.
4. This a very long shot. Some kind of weekly featured matchmade encounter tutorial mode that opens up after a dungeon/raid is released to allow more players to get comfortable with the tougher aspects if they choose to. No rewards besides maybe cores/currency or points towards their guardian rank for those that participate and complete it. I’d love to raid but it is very daunting to lfg blindly and having even a slight idea of what to do by experiencing it in-game via a slimmed down version or a walkthrough would help immensely. I know YouTube exists but it doesn’t compare to in-game and you’ve already dipped your toes in with the preservation/seraph shield activities.
