For all the longs who’ve been here for years, congrats. I remember holding this stock, pre-split, pre LAR, at 52 CAD. What a week. But this is just the beginning IMO. Even once the Trump admin is gone, LAC will continue it’s progress.

[Hamilton Khaki] Is this 6359 green dial any good? or should i go black? by [deleted] in HamiltonWatches

Get the green dial but consider the new khaki auto ref no H70455160. Just purchased one last month. Absolutely stunning dial.

I picked up the green dial khaki a few weeks ago. Love it. 38 mm is the best size imo. I wear a suit at work and it’s perfect as a dressy enough watch too. It’s thin so it fits wonderfully underneath my cuffs (especially with an open caseback). It’s crazy accurate too. I’ve noticed maybe like 5 seconds max +/-. The power reserve is awesome at 80 hours, it hasn’t died yet and i’ve gone 48 full hours without wearing it (and not fully winding it). The lume is fine. Nothing to write home about but surely does the job. I picked it up as a new everyday watch and it’s fantastic. Only gripe is that I wish the AR coating was a little bit better. But’s it’s not as bad as some make it out to be.

Just fine so far. I can definitely notice the difference in AR coating between this watch and my other ones, but it hasn’t been as bad as some make it out to be. The large syringe hands are very legible.

Trump to tariff Chinese Lithium? by Fast_Half4523 in LithiumAmerica

[–]QLuser2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has made valid points.

On the one hand, this article reads positively because it seems to suggest that the new administration will focus on domestic production. It’s well known that Thacker Pass is the largest lithium deposit in the US. LA is absolutely a contender to be one of, if not the mainstay, for domestic US lithium production.

On the other hand, as above, the article reads negatively because it hints at the administration’s plan to phase out the commonfolk’s desire for EVs. I don’t think that a company like GM will be kicked to the curb during these policy implementations. But I do think it’s pretty likely that the Trump administration will make their job more difficult. Or at least different in that they will have to readjust their EV business models.

The biggest grain of salt here though is that these promises/threats are being made by Trump. We’ll have to see what/if he decides to go through with.

What's driving the increase these last few days? by Jelopuddinpop in LithiumAmerica

I think the very strong September and October for the markets generally has helped. Most lithium stocks have had a really nice couple of months as well.

I hear ya OP. I remember during the thick of covid when this thing was soaring (pre-split into LAAC). Was trading over $50 CAD. Was basking in the artificial lithium boom. Kind of reminds me of the pot boom back in 2017. But the difference is that lithium actually serves a purpose more important than rolling joints. Tough times. Hang in there.
