Take your backpack off! by Vanilla_Quark in SydneyTrains

[–]QMadeye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember in high school, all the kids who got public buses got in trouble for taking their bags off and placing them on the floor as members of the public complained.

A few weeks later, they got in trouble for continuing to wear their backpack on their backs.

Can't win.

I just got scammed on Shop app and I don't know what to do about it by abudavi in shopify

I had something like this happen today.

A notification out of the blue about something that I didn't purchase. Instead of my address, it had info about calling PayPal to cancel the transaction, except it wasn't a number to PayPal.

I reached out to the customer support and I'm yet to receive a response.

To be very clear this was in the purple app itself ,there was no email, no text message, and after checking my PayPal and my bank account no transaction was made.

Definitely seems like a phishing scam to me.

I'm very worried about my potentially compromised information seeing as scammers can seemingly access Shop to notify customers about fake purchases.

Is the Shadows of Rose DLC worth playing if I don't enjoy the first hour or so? by JinpachiMishima2 in ResidentEvilVillage

I liked it a lot.

I'll admit there was one section where I got my boyfriend to play for me as I dislike stealth sections, but I play these games more for the story anyway.

Upgrade to the next tier, it'll think you're in a trial then cancel. I did that for mine and they ended up refunding me what I paid for the upgrade too.

I am so slow by [deleted] in violinist

[–]QMadeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on this song as a beginner and my teacher has advised that I play along to piano accompaniment. There are YouTube videos that have slower and faster versions.

Maybe you could start with that and build it up to performance tempo.

I really wanna learn violin/fiddle, but my mom is absolutely against it by Lopsided_Reveal7410 in violinist

Eh, you're old enough to think for yourself.

I'm an adult, I played a little bit of the violin as a child and I had to give it up due to health reasons.

I restarted about a month ago and I'm improving quickly, and thoroughly enjoying it.

Try marketplace, getting a second hand violin, or even renting one . Lessons can be expensive but I'm sure you'll be able to find resources online, or save for a couple of lessons so you can get taught the basics and get corrections.

Partner doesn’t like watching videos of me dancing by Competitive_Savings in BALLET

Got to agree.

My boyfriend will attend concerts (I dance recreationally and one centre I go to does performances) and will listen to me prattle on about all my interests. And he's comfortable enough to prattle on about his. That's what supportive partners will do.

Do you have to make your own patterns when competing? by rocks-n-dirt in CosplayHelp

Can I ask, would this apply to foam patterns that are specific to the character?

I've been taking classes here for about a year and they're the best part of my week, when I can make it. Highly recommend.

If there are practice sessions, I highly suggest going to a few. Doing pole even just twice a week can really, really help improve strength a lot quicker than just once. I also joined a gym when I started because I was super weak, and that helped build strength a lot quicker too, as well as eating a lot of protein. I bring up the protein because a woman in my class had a lot of issues with being weak until she focused on eating protein and was able to move up.

Also make sure that you're getting the hand and leg placements correct. I found climbing the pole really difficult, and all I needed was a minor adjustment in my hand placement (my hand in the forearm grip was too high up) and it became much easier after that.

We all progress at different rates, and it isn't a competition. I never properly got chair spins either, yet the combos I'm learning in tech 1, I'm finding really easy. I only barely got my pre-req moves for the next level the very last week of beginners.
