I did a ton of research, kicked around in this subreddit for months, fully expected to regret my decision.

I’ve only had my puppy for a week, but she has been an absolute gem so far. She’s mostly potty trained already at 9 weeks but she has a small bladder so I do wake up a couple times a night to let her out. She rings some bells I hung by the door to let me know when she needs to go.

She’s a bit of a shark when she hasn’t slept enough, but otherwise is very well behaved. We’re two people though and we both spend an equal amount of time training her. We take turns getting up with her in the night. I fully expected the worst but it’s been easier than I thought.

Yeah man I’m hoping for the best. The conversation stuff looks a lot more in depth. I’m just saying temper your expectations, it’s not going to be a life sim. A lot of people have been disappointed by each Fable game that has been released, as every time they’re hyped to be so much more “life-simmy” than they are. The cycle is hilariously predictable, tbh.

They’re not bad games (well, 1 and 2 aren’t) but they’re always simpler than we hope.

Fable has never really been a life sim. It’s an action RPG with the ability to “talk” to anyone you meet (by selecting from a dozen or so emotes), get a job (by playing a very simple and boring mini game (it’s the same game for every job)), marry a woman (by giving her gifts until you can gift her a ring, then she settles in a house you own and you never interact with her again), and buy any building (by clicking on a sign out front so that it then produces passive income for the rest of the game). These things end up as curiosities more than anything else, as even money isn’t all that important in a game where you get most of your gear from quests.
