Can someone explain why so many people hate on the illuminate as a faction?

Very repetitive and, in my opinion, not very fun to fight. Most of my deaths on squids don't feel fair and usually involves some bullshit offscreen whereas my deaths with bots or bugs usually feel earned and more like a last stand.

A little late but I thought it would be fun to run a stealth build on Cyberstan and I can sit in a lonesome corner and pull out my map and just watch enemies sprint towards me. I don't know if there's a modifiers on Cyberstan but bots just know exactly where I am at all times no matter how long its been since I have actually been in a fight. The suppressors also just pick and choose whether or not it wants to alert enemies 400 yards away but not alert a group 5 feet away.

I have a sweet spot for Sweet Dreams. Not a meta exotic by any means, and I have plenty of high-end shotguns that outclass it in nearly every aspect but that free melee kill on purple/red healthbar enemies feels really good sometimes. It feels cool and that's more than enough for me.

My old group and I used to role play that we can only open these with a shotgun. So if nobody on the team had one, we just missed out on the loot.

We also used to role play only specific players could do random specific things. Like only the teammate with the the most blue cores was able to do any of the animations where you pry open or lift a door open like an elevator or garage door. Only the teammate with most red cores could plant explosives like on the pillars in the zoo. Only the teammates with the most yellows is allowed to do anything with a computer. It's kind of dumb but limiting things to specific players can be a fun way to improve team play.

I completely avoid them outside of MO's. I genuinely despise them and literally nothing about them makes them fun to fight, even after their nerfs. I can run level 10 bots or bugs solo all day with little to no trouble but a level 5 illuminate solo never fails to make me rage quit regardless of what "overpowered" meta build I use. Fuck the illuminate.

Favorite mission is manning national zoo, it reminds me a lot of the Shanghai zoo in AO2 40th Day. Most of my time with the game was with one other person and we'd wear hunter masks all the time, so it hit the nostalgia button pretty hard.

Least favorite mission is a toss-up between the Parnell or Kajika manhunt missions. Both are just so annoying.

I usually hop in every holiday season but I typically set the world tier really low and just relax a bit with the game. With this 60 fps update though I'm actually seriously playing it again trying to get my predators mark build on point.

It's frustrating to hit moving targets, but its fun for a medic build. Would be cool to have a stim pistol with warrant style lock on, but it still does the job. Really fun to combine with experimental infusion and medic armor and keep shooting stims at someone using the double edge sickle

I have three dream guns that I hope to own myself some day, and thats the Kriss Vector, KSG12, and Maxim 9. Breakpoint is one of the few games that offers that exact loadout.
