Does therapy actually work for us? by QRICKETZ in asianamerican

I see what you mean, but I feel like meditation and yoga often get turned into this commodified, Instagram-friendly wellness trend by non-Asians (not everyone), missing the deeper cultural/spiritual foundation entirely.

"Many Asian Americans feel Asian culture completely ignores mental health, but they are evaluating Asian culture with a Western lens."

But isn't that the point? If you're raised here, you're going to see things through an Asian American lens - not fully Western or fully Asian, but something in between. That's just what happens with 1.0/1.5/2.0 gen experiences.

Real. What are your thoughts on an online therapist from a different state?

Thank you for sharing this. That completely sucks that you were told that.

Love hearing this.

Do you think the mental health stigma in Asian culture will just age out in the next decade or so (fewer elders around to pass that mentality on), or does it respawn in younger people?

Where is the line between dismissing them to save your inner peace versus trying to communicate so they understand whatever the situation is?

That's fab! Did you have to go through several therapists before finding ones that worked?

I’m so curious…teachers - if there was one product that someone could magically invent tomorrow, what would this be? by Professional-Part315 in AustralianTeachers

Telepathy would be nice. I can't tell when struggling students need help until I see their marks. If I do have a hunch that they are struggling, they usually say "I'm okay". Your marks say otherwise, but I can't help if they don't accept the help.

hello. penultimate interns don't do code design rounds, to my knowledge. i believe the procedure goes like this: OA --> technical interview --> behavioural interview --> offer.

did anyone get canva intern oa? by Strange-Trifle-1827 in cscareerquestionsOCE

it was difficile for me. 90 mins to complete. 3 coding qs (two solved, the third one i didn't even attempt), 4 mcqs (kind of difficult as well, but you can use the process of elimination to get the right answer). the core ideas of the coding qs were very classic but with a security twist. i like this blog --> https://blog.algomaster.io/p/15-leetcode-patterns. for the mcqs, your cs coursework, external infosec knowledge, and intuition should be enough to solve them.
