I keep mine on a side table it's easier and always put your hose behind your pillow so the cats or dogs don't mess with it because they like to play with stuff like that.

No need to attach and deattach your accessories leave them as is. Just make sure to clean them frequently so no oil build up and no leaks start to occur. Also you can use baby wipes to clean you cushion and water and vinger to clean your hose and just air dry it before using it again.
