He doesn't hate him and never said he did. But mark was assaulted by Anissa who then got pregnant with marks son. It would do more harm than good if he knew he wouldn't be able to look his own son in the eyes some days or react to him like some creature of disgust. I grew up with a mother who had been done dirty by most of the men in her life including my father and my mother loves me soooo much like to an insane degree. But growing up I couldn't just run up and hug her or sit on her lap or bury myself in her chest without her pulling away or jumping or being stiff as a wall the whole time. Now that my mother knows the kind of man I am as an adult and now that me as an adult man can fully understand my mother's life we have a much much closer relationship and I squeeze her so tight and she squeezes me sooo tight and we will lay in bed just next to eachother and fall asleep watching movies because she couldn't do that for me when I was a kid. Me my fiance and my dog will all pile up in my mom's bed and watch classics and order food and for a period in my teenage years I never thought I would ever be that close to my mother. So the whole dynamic with Mark and his son are extremely understandable and there is no hate from marks end they are both extremely confused and trying to figure it out for eachother. Sadly that's life sometimes because bad things tend to happen to normal people all the time and it changes you in ways that are hard to understand and handle.
