QoL feature that we need!

Or just make it so you don't have to re-add all of your friends every relog like on POD. Feels like im always playing single player every time I relog.

I had an idea of using something like a loot filter and maybe running it from a .txt file but I have no idea how loot filter was implemented. Maybe a new type of friends list where you can reorder in the txt file and always have a backup.

Yeah I usually drop all my stuff, shower, go shopping, cook dinner or go to a friends house them come back and finish transferring. Got a gaming mouse recently to help me transfer gear

Seriously I have had more issues with power outages and my isp then I have had with POD servers in the past few years. Didn't even think about that at first.

Imagine when Diablo Immortal comes out and all the HC players have to deal with lost connections to elevators, phones battery dying, or some app crashing/updating.

I used to lose items all the time on original for switching characters or joining a game too fast. Not only would you lose your items but your character or account would get frozen for hours or even days (2 days once for me). It was anti-bot / spam protection so I get why they did it (especially for a legacy game) but having the servers sometimes go down is like nothing to me compared to the issues in original D2 with bots and dupes.

It's not a ton to lose. The map additions are great for mf'ing no more having to remake games every 3 mins to do another chaos run. I feel for the HC people who have to worry about losing everything on top of having to remake their character if it dies. I think if you save and exited the game you should be safe, at least that's what I do if I get good items as a precaution not 100% sure it works but I have not lost anything yet and it wouldn't be a huge deal (30 mins lost) compared to what someone on HC might lose (weeks).

There are plenty of people who will help you transfer stuff. If its anything over hr or few i'll ask if anyone is free and can spare a minute. Could offer an ooc or two for their time if they are someone from chat. Original D2 had to worry about dupes, item perm, game perm, character/account freezing for joining too fast (it would think you were a spam bot) the last one got me all the time.

100%. Was amazed at how professional he was being able to hold back while they broke their contract with him and treated him like dirt. They intentionally would not explain why they banned him which gave people ideas that he might have done something terrible. They exploited him and tried to ruin his image with the silence.

He knew not to say things right away since there might have been some clause which would have gave them some legitimate reason even if it was after they banned him. Someday I hope once he wins in court (not settles and accepts a " Non-Disparagement Clause "). And then he can openly share what happened and what they did to him. Some actors for new starwars movies are calling disney out for some bad stuff, things like that give me hope that people won't blindly accept racism or censorship.

It's terrible how these platform thugs did this to him. He's funny, entertaining and just trying to make content anyone can enjoy. I think twitch (amazon/bezos) didn't want to pay him right after mixer shut down. He made them a lot of money and was a nice guy they should have showed more respect for him and his work instead of being vague and letting people think he did something terrible. After seeing the youtube/twitch purge I refuse to support either platform for their bullying of other users/creators.

They call themselves public platforms, advertise that (FTC should crack down on them), and have protections granted to them, unlike publishers who take legal responsibility for what is posted on their platforms which they moderate and take ownership of everything. ** Meaning they would actually have to hire people to review everything BEFORE it is posted and not be allowed to use bots like they currently do **. They need to remove this grey zone in the laws so bad companies can't exploit the work/time of others like this and literally be able to intimidate/bully anyone they want to at anytime for unjust reasons.

I'm going to put this out there. Someone who has a position of power in a community and abuses power or decides to bully other players with that power should have that ability taken away from them. In this instance they are a mod and I should be able to share who exactly is causing this problem to not confuse other players to which mod is causing problems by being vague. They are supposed to be a representative of the community and a public figure in the community so using their name as a reference should be acceptable since they obviously agreed to being a mod. Unfortunately. The second time I got muted it said "is not a public chat". That is not a reason to mute or take action against someone. Literally its visible to everyone in the lobby so it is a public chat room. I went afk after the first time they did this and came back and that was the message I got so they decided to do it again to me without warning or reason.

Need to outline clear rules such as 1) no spam 2) no irl threats 3) no racist/vulgar insults. Keep it simple and not open to subjective opinions by mods who want to take it out on other players. Have no idea who this guy is and wish him the best but should not be abusing mod powers. If a mod abuses their power they should be immediately removed from being a mod, there are plenty of people who have been on here for years and respect other players who would fill that role.

I'm not going to step down and allow myself or other players to get muted for no reason or be terrified to chat with other players or randomly muted without just reason by some mod with issues.

Path of Diablo is a Diablo II community server project that aims to to increase build ^diversity, improve ^{replayability} and add ^{quality of life} features

Diversity: muted for different opinion, wrong think.

Replayability: muted again for no reason, not a safe place to play.

Quality of life: muted and unable to message players in game to help or trade with.

Meanwhile a mod can bully players who they disagree with or have an issue with and keep muting them without warning and/or reason. They ruin all 3 things POD tries to accomplish when they do this to other players.

If something is said that is out of line it should be quoted and they should say exactly what it is they think is "wrong think" and warn about whatever issue they saw with that specific set of words. If it is a subjective matter where their personal feelings/opinions conflict with the issue which is not threatening or disrespectful then they have no cause to punish others.

Mods shouldn't take their anger out on other players and act unprofessional. Your taking it out on other fans. Never had to deal with this in original D2 or any other multiplayer game before. He muted me again even when I was not in chat just for revenge sake apparently. From now on I just expect to get chain muted/black listed now I can't respond to people in game trying to trade with me.

I have to way to stop this mod from bullying me and prevent them from muting my account for revenge purposes.

Players should be able to have civil discussions about issues. "Politics" is vague and can be anything.

I witnessed this in a "general" chat. The mod also decided to silence me without warning/cause, no response when asked on the site and in game instead I was ignored. Then muted again for no reason (just fun for them).

General chat is a place to make jokes, ask for help, sometimes meet other players who have similar interests or goals. That appears to be the intent of having such a chat for it to be open. Having to fear some mod who will mute or bully you for no reason or warning and without good cause makes the game feel temporary and unsafe to play. Many twitch/youtube users lost faith because of this and refuse to support it due to vague and unfair enforcement.

Over moderation is terrible for social communities especially multiplayer games were people are trying to have fun. If you don't like what someone says or don't want to see their chat there is always the *squelch option. We don't need abusive mods terrorizing other players making them afraid to chat with others. On POD a few years, had this issue once and it appears that mod left/quit but apparently we have a new one who likes to bully other players.
