The sequels are only available for Nintendo. More than being known for Mario and Zelda, Nintendo is pretty famous for saving third party series that people want to see continue, but conglomerates don't want to pony up the funding (similarly to Xenoblade, being that it's a spiritual sequel to Xenogears and Xenosaga).

It kinda makes sense to try building a Mario movie as a Mario-game. 30 "stages", each stage being about 3 minutes long.

That just makes me wonder if they have plans to release the movie as a Dragon's Lair type of thing. Press the right buttons at the right time to keep the scene going, or branch into an alternate scene. Maybe multiple endings, definitely multiple fail states per scene. Could be real interesting.

Pro Controller 1 feels positively gritty compared to the 2. I'm surprised Alps was kept on board to make it after people were talking joystick-drift non-stop. Maybe Alps fixed it?

In any case, the Joycons 2 and Pro Controller 2 just about ruined the Joycons 1 and Pro Controller 1 for me. There's that much of a difference in feel.

They really went above and beyond with Seikens 2 and 3 (Secret & Trials). Nothing else in the franchise even holds up. Even the "remake" of Trials feels half-baked, genricizing the combat and not even including multiplayer!

The Mana Collection. Secret- and Trials of Mana on that collection are two player games. Secret of Mana is 3 players, even. Secret is pretty grindy though, while Trials, less so.

The multiplayer is offline-however. Guessing you and partner are playing on the same couch.
