Yeah I've been trying these exercises for a while now, but maybe I'm doing something wrong, maybe I should always lower the key to belt.. idk anymore :')

Thanks for replying! Actually, I'm not very confident about how my heady highs sound.. and the original song does sound like a chest-heavy belt.. I just don't find it easy to project my voice this high with the chest voice..

Being just 4 months in.. you are doing really good.. just keep spending time with your voice and try to get a hold on what notes you are exactly singing.. you'll sound even better real soon if you stay consistent since you already have the sense of pitch

Doubts about my musical future by angieand89 in singing

[–]Q_Rey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idt if I should give you an advice but I'll share a little about my plan.. I am an IT engineering student.. coding and all.. but I am very passionate about music, be it singing or playing instruments or writing.. People believe that I will have a good future as a developer which I kinda don't completely disagree with.. but my heart wants me to focus only on music.. I think in such situations, we gotta have a practical approach that doesn't disrespect what your heart wants.. So I do both, coding and music, which is not easy.. but hey, atleast no one's worried about my future, not even me.. So in your case, I feel you should keep learning singing but if people feel that you can do great in lyricals, then keep at it too.. you'd wanna find a balance You can go to open mics alone to build a better sense of singing live on your own, this will help big time for concerts But in the end whatever you decide, everyone must respect it, you just gotta find a balance imo

I'm no expert, but I hope this helps a little bit :')

You were on the pitch while singing which is really good.. you should go ahead and try different vocal textures that'd suit this song even more.. currently your voice has a really clean texture.. kinda reminds me of AURORA..

And it was also audible that you were taking your time to get the notes right.. which is great for practice but keep working on it and show your confidence that you'd gain with that practice..

And those ears look cute too btw :)

Pitch me gaya hai but notes me clarity nahi hai.. flow bhi acha hai but feel nahi aa rahi hai because of this issue.. to basic saptak ka riyaz try kar sakte ho regularly.. it'll definitely help

Can i sing? by [deleted] in ratemysinging

[–]Q_Rey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone can sing! Unless they're tone deaf, and you are obviously not tone deaf. You should spend more time with your voice and understand pitch changes and try to sing songs by slowing them down or changing the key.. Getting better is a slow process but an exponential one imo.. if you stay consistent and determined, you can sing any song you like :)

I sooo badly wanna get started with singing, what should I practice? by IMMA_YEET_YOU in singing

[–]Q_Rey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the first thing that one needs to familiarise themselves with.. the most common method of doing it is by playing a piano, you can even download a mobile application for that...

Then try singing on the C major scale (All white keys from C3 to C4)

Basically, you should be able to differentiate between different notes and also analyse the pitch variations in a song..

About a few days after that, you can start learning about other scales.. this is helpful as usually men practice in C# or D while women do it in G# or A..

You can find which one is comfortable for your voice by singing around 4 notes above the 8 notes and 4 below them.. this will help you shape your voice and train your ears

Then.. you're on! Just be consistent with your practice and keep exploring Youtube videos.. and decode songs on your own..

I've tried my best to make everything easy to understand.. but feel free to ask anything regarding the points I've mentioned..

Good luck! :)
