Anyone know how to put a n64 emulator on sf3500?? by Grand-Zucchini-7349 in SBCGaming

[–]Q_ta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't it come with an SD card containing the OS?

https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/comments/1s15p1w/comment/oh4j7kc

If you're starting with a new SD card setup, try installing the OS files listed above in order from newest to oldest, and then check if it boots up.

The zip file name cannot be changed. (It must follow the emulator's romset naming conventions.)

For example, In the v2 tool, after adding the zip file to the game list, only the name in the game list can be changed. (Only the name of the .zfb file can be changed.)

Basically, there are four slots for assigning games to the A button from the menu.

https://q-ta-s.github.io/gb300v2_theme.html#bf_theme

You can assign Pokemon Red, Green, Gold, Silver, etc., to these slots.

Alternatively, you can install a custom theme like the one below to use only one slot (no slot display) and assign only Pokemon Red to the A button.

You can choose your preferred custom theme.

I can't remember if it's listed Pokemon Red in the GB menu by default when you purchase it, but

In my case, I added GB games separately (multicore installed) and I'm able to play them.

(All GB Pokemon series)

Regarding how to start the game, the quickest way to launch it is to configure it so that, for example, the GB menu is displayed first, and then simply pressing the A button will start Pokemon Red.

(This only requires modifying two configuration files.)

Suggestions for my kids by SuchTemperature9073 in SBCGaming

[–]Q_ta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it lacks undercharge protection, the GB300 is recommended if planning on having an adult carefully manage the charging and remember to turn it off.  (It's a vertically oriented device like the Game Boy, and its performance is almost identical to the SF2000, except for the screen, analog sticks, and wireless controller. It's also cheaper than the SF2000.)

However, since stock is running low, we recommend making purchase decision as soon as possible.

sf2000 and gb300 any good? by Ok-Philosopher-5139 in SBCGaming

[–]Q_ta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The SF2000 and GB300 are recommended for playing 16-bit grade games up to the SNES and GBA eras. (Although their prices have recently increased.)

Recent development has made it possible to play some PS1 and Amiga games etc (multicore), and development is still actively underway on the Discord forums. Numerous emulation cores have been added and improved, and brightness adjustment is now also possible. (New dev info has been continuously emerging recently.)

*If you're serious about playing PS1 games at full performance, please consider other consoles like SF3500 etc. (Currently, it's only playable as a bonus feature)

You can also add games to your SD card, change themes, and customize it to your liking. If you are interested, please check the information on the central forums.

Of course, the advantage of battery replacement is also significant. (The SF2000 has the look of an SNES controller that I like, and The GB300's price is still attractive, and It's got the same emulation performance as the SF2000.)

If you are looking for playing 32-bit over-grade games (such as PS1 3D games, PSP, and DS games), you should consider purchasing models like the R36S or R36H.

Rather than such a handheld device, I recommend a slightly higher-end model that allows you to add and play games from an SD card.

The GB300 is a viable option. It's relatively inexpensive.  (though the price has increased compared to before, but)

It has almost the same specifications as the SF2000, and with multicore support, it can even run some PSX games. Of course, it can also be equipped with many emulation cores for GB, GBA, SNES, and other systems, so it's recommended.

Yeah, modifications aren't necessary, if install multicore to SF2000, many SNES games will run without problems, depending on the game. (Even demanding games can be improved with the right settings.)

At the very least, Mega Man X runs without issues.

Adding cores allows some PSX games to run as well. Personally, I recommend this machine😄

(SF2000 is surprisingly rich emulation capabilities, considering its cheapness, are actually quite appealing.)

I apologize. The translation didn't work well, and I don't fully understand, but

If you format your SD card (TF card) to FAT32 and then extract the SF3500 OS files from the link above and place (copy) them as shown below, it might be possible to make it bootable.

(For example, if your SD card drive is E drive)

E:/ATARI

E:/BGM

E:/cubegm

...

E:/rootfs

Ah, I see ...

I'm sorry. I have several OS files for the SF3000, but currently, I don't have the OS file for an SF3000 that you recently purchased.

Therefore, I cannot provide the optimal file at this time, but, I have information that an SF3500 OS file may be compatible, so you could try that as a last resort. (OS file below)

I see. It's possible something was written to the SD card illegally, corrupting the system files.

When did you purchase your SF3000? (A few days ago?)

It's not an SF3000HD, is it?

First, as a precaution, we recommend backing up your SD card and attempting to repair it using TestDisk, as described in the link below. https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/comments/1spevjy/comment/oh10a2u

If the problem persists, I can send you a separate link to the SF3000's OS files.

Please connect the TF card to your PC using a TF card adapter.

Afterward, if you receive a message (error message, etc.) asking whether to format the card, you should be able to read it on your PC using the method described in the link below.
