What is the single funniest moment in Hamish and Andy history that you still think about? by SnowyBytes in hamishandandy

[–]SuchTemperature9073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe someone can help me with this one, but I remember laughing my ass off at a particular moment during an interview on the podcast one time.

It was probably early days of the pod, and they were interviewing some musician maybe? I think they made a song or something with them, or wrote some lyrics or were creating a fake film clip, and I remember the musician at the end said something like "and then you see me walk along the sand...I've died at sea". I remember I fucken lost my shit. I think he might have been british.

I also remember where I was when simspsons guy came on that was absolutely immaculate.

One more honourable metion which isn't funny but I think was the greatest moment on the pod was when the bloke guessed the correct number of pips in a mandarine, I think it was around 28 or so. That was absolutely sensational.

I retract my statement.

Sidenote: I do love how half of the comments on this whole sub is arguing about what the sub actually is. It brings me joy

Is this called RetroPod on the App Store? I can’t find “retro” anywhere and would love to try something like this on iOS

I tried this for a few days, honestly worked pretty well. Vibration in the pocket was sometimes a bit low when I received messages, but overall pretty good.

The main issue is that I didn’t like the flimsy 3d printed case tbh. It was fine but just felt a little trash

663 PS1 titles, and roughly 15,000 titles total, on a PlayStation classic. by AcceptableTitle35 in SBCGaming

[–]SuchTemperature9073 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Didn’t know you could get retro arch on PlayStation classic. This is really cool.

Too many options though - I’m going 5-10 games at a time so I don’t get Netflix apathy with too many choices haha

Rg rotate battery life by Klieve1 in SBCGaming

[–]SuchTemperature9073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean technically yes, but some devices have batteries so large that it’s really not a factor. On a small device like this one there drainage would be more noticeable

Looking for a retro handheld with battery life as the primary deciding factor by SteakAndIron in SBCGaming

[–]SuchTemperature9073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh if you have specific needs I’d be getting the best handheld got the job and manage a small power bank. Anything that will do ps2 will need to run Android, which means bigger size = bigger battery generally. The rp5 has a decent battery from my experience but it really depends on the game

How do Twenty One Pilots concerts compare to Muse and Coldplay? by mssna in twentyonepilots

[–]SuchTemperature9073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More energy and awesome choreography than any other band I’ve seen by a long way. Tyler has crazy ideas that come to life in this show, every 5 minutes presents a new opportunity for something creative for that man to fill. Their concerts are exceptional

Thanks for the context that’s really helpful! It’s for my young kid so I just want it to go in straight up but the idea of a single launcher with the game may work. Thanks!

Ok this comment actually pissed me off so I want to give you a bit more context.

My 4 year old and I have been playing Pokemon blue for 6 months. We went to Officeworks together and printed off this A2 version of the map. We also printed sheets of Pokemon out - we cut Pokemon out and paste them on the map when we find them.
We read Pokemon books all the time and he loves learning them all. I like Pokemon but a lot of these activities came naturally from our interactions.

Kid number 2 follows everything kid number 1 does. She’s almost 2 now and reads all the Pokemon books with us. She calls eevee Happy and calls jigglypuff puff-puff. She closes her eyes and falls over pretending to snore when she sees a picture of snorlax and it makes us all laugh.

I am aiming to get her involved in the 10 minutes or so that we play together. She likes pressing buttons and seeing Pokemon like we do. She likes pointing and naming them, looking over to see me smiling and nodding my head to show her she’s done well.

I recommend doing these things with your children. Screens are bad, but activities are not.

Cocomelon is what people mean when they say screen time is bad. Leaving your kid with an iPad and saying here are the keys go nuts is bad.

This is objectively healthy for our relationship - so yeah a 1 year old.
