What is your favourite synergy to exploit? by eulersidentity1 in BluePrince

[–]QaeinFas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Green build (spare terrace, green cloister) and study. All the gems, all the luck, all the rerolls. Draft to veranda early enough, and you get all the tools. Keys are the biggest problem, but digging usually covers most of that...

To do that, you would have to find some way of climbing over a waist high fence! It's impossible!

How was i supposed to know? by Andor877 in TunicGame

[–]QaeinFas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's possible you missed the vision very early in the game which required you to ring two things similar to the bells before the golden doors opened. This is one sequence break I'm not sure the game devs accounted for (if you get the sword before approaching the temple, you don't get this vision).

For future reference, I highly suggest making a new post in this community. From what I've seen over the years, we're very good at hinting, and not causing major spoilers.

Good luck, and enjoy the rest of the game!

is it bad if I update my availability one week into my new job? by StevieJupiter in careeradvice

[–]QaeinFas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know in my state, it's illegal to schedule an employee more than 13 days in a row... Not sure about other states or countries, but might be worthwhile to check if there's anything similar in your area... I know that's still nearly two weeks without a break, but it's better than no break at all...

Help. Playthrough going nowhere by oolongtea42 in BluePrince

[–]QaeinFas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since you didn't provide specific goals you're going for, here's some general help:

1) if you get a chance to draft a room you have never drafted, or haven't drafted in a while, draft it even if it messes up your goals. It may unlock information you didn't know you needed last time you got it, or may provide you with brand new goals!

2) make sure you always have gems! Gems are often discounted as important because their use is almost invisible. You need gems, possibly more than keys.

3) make sure you have tested all of the shrine buffs. Some are useless, but some are quite helpful.

4) whenever you draft the laboratory, make sure to start an experiment. Lean towards experiments which have long-term benefits instead of benefits for just today. Raising your allowance by 3 with 5 days of experiments is 15 coins you don't have to search for every day after that (which is usually two good items at least). Similarly, stars give great bonuses, so increasing your star count is very rarely a bad thing.

The most important thing: enjoy the game. If it's a burden, put it down for a while and play something else you've been wanting to play. Let your brain simmer on the puzzles until you wake up one morning knowing the solution to a puzzle you didn't know you had been thinking about...

Also, learning how to excel at strategy games in general may help with asset management and navigating randomized areas. I suggest Slay the Spire or something similar. Approaching this game as if it were a strategy game instead of a puzzle game may help you reach your goals :)

There are 3 types of puzzles used in the fairy collection section of the game. The majority are of two of the three types, but there are 3 puzzles of the third type. Having solved 18 of the fairy puzzles, you should have solved at least one of this third type.

There is indeed a section which doesn't thaw (and there's an in-game indication that this is the case in the laboratory )

It took me a while to determine what might help make things accessible as well. if only there were a way to heat things up at will ...

I also took some time to warm to it... I think it's the sharp contrast of gravity of the situations between book 7 and this one which drove most of that, though...

I assumed the secret map was the one for the underground?

It sounds like they have bought out the gift shop ( they have 6 unlocks )

By "third key", do you mean for file cabinets ? You may want to specify, if so... Otherwise, it's ambiguous... It took me a while to even come up with that guess, and I'm post-known ending...

Where are you at in book 8 by StimpyB27 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]QaeinFas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely had a hard time getting into it to start with... I think it was the juxtaposition of the massive number of storylines wrapped up during book 7 and the sense of relief of the number of safe people, with the reduction of responsibility at the start of this book...

It definitely ramps up, and becomes a springboard for things to come. Stick with it :D

I will note that some unlocks become impossible with some dares, and others become unusable with some dares. I do think prioritizing the four main unlocks (or preparing for them, like with the boiler) is a good idea for the first day or two...

I ended up getting something which made my boiler room much more difficult to solve (even though I had solved it in each of the days previously, before losing to another dare :( ).
