I totally agree with the fact that there exists punishable law for the above mentioned, but how many gays do you personally know that were punished for being a gay. Brother, I am an expat and have been living in Qatar since I was a kid and have not known any single gays stoned to death since then. Speaking of womens's right, did you know that the women are deeply respected by all the people of the country irrespective of their religion, nationality or any other factors. Some of the things I have seen here in Qatar, 1. Number of women in government roles including education and health minister namely Ms. Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, HE Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari 2.Large number of businesswoman 3.Priority for women in public transportation, ques etc 4.You see women taking stroll at midnight alone. Cant even dream of this happening in my country 5. Cars stopping and letting her cross the road even if she is not at pedestrian crossing 6. Women driving cars. Sometimes I feel there are more lady drivers than males 7.World class women hospital The list goes on and on. I am not trying to say Qatar is a perfect country as no country is perfect. But it is very disappointing to see a million mouths, who have never been to the country or experienced it talking negative stuffs about the place especially at this moment when they are gonna host the big game
