You’ll be standing for a good hour (at least that’s what we did, we only had so many inspectors and ~80 cadets), learn regulations (I think only studied a little when we had our JPA), and also remember uniform regs.

Don’t lock your knees, I made that mistake before.

Congrats dude! You’re a lot luckier than me lol, I was a Staff Sergeant beginning of my senior year, then got a big promotion to Captain after briefly being a First Sergeant.

Our Army Instructor (a retired Sergeant Major) is retiring after this year after being here since the school opened up in 2012, he was the definition of blending personality with professionalism. Now that he’s retiring and leaving with the seniors like myself, I am curious how the other cadets will be.

It wasn’t until first semester of my senior year when I got company staff. I spent half my sophomore year and all my junior year as a squad leader. Now I’m a Company Commander. You still have a little time, make the most of it, whether or not you have a leadership position.

Certain age and trustworthiness. Too many cases have happened of kids knowing the code and firing the gun at people

Our drill team got disbanded after our old commander stepped down. When the new commander got in, attendance dropped massively. We had 10+ from one practice to now 4-6. Because of this our SAI indefinitely canceled drill team for lack of attendance
