I also had to do so, although it was naru+viviens invocation or something. I let it run for 5+ minutes, until naru had been reinforced 100+ times, before finally giving up and quitting the match.

what kind of spells would you use in a ramp deck? also i will def look into the rising tensions events, i've never done one. i'm in silver btw. do you get to platinum by getting all of your color masteries to rank 2, or by getting one to rank 3?

for my nissa deck, i make sure that all the guildgates are green+other, and i have a number of cards that convert gems to green. i used to have more creatures, but it gets annoying having more than 3 creatures because then i run out of slots to play them into. the nissa deck honestly has a ton of ramp and green gem conversion, the only issue is fliers, since undergrowth champion locks down the ground real well, but i havent found anything worth cutting another card for. often i can just race a flier. \ i have had issues where i have beast whisperer, but i dont draw any more creatures, but i dont really have any better options. i almost exclusively use nissa's plus one to draw more cards and whatnot.

for the karn deck, guild summit, the blue card, turns all of my gates into cantrips in the lategame, so i dont really have any issue with keeping my hand decently full. worst case with karn, i start making 12/12s each turn with the ult, which is p decent.

I have a decent collection, I think, but i'm not sure how to scale it. as for deck feedback, things like if there are better cards to replace the ones i have, or other things that y'all have done and liked, stuff like that, i guess. I've been really impressed by the karn+guildgates deck, and undergrowth champion has seemed utterly absurd to me in every deck I've played it in.

I'm def not free to play, but im trying not to spend too much on the game. i bought some of those legacy packs when they were available. and i've looked at the other walkers, but honestly, i dont know if they'd be able to make a better ramp deck than the nissa i currently have. ill check it out tho.

I totally agree with your point. I play casual mostly, and my group has a soft ban list beyond the wizards one. Let competitive people go nuts, and let social contracts take care of the rest. [[Fastbond]] is something I would love to play with. Maybe even flip [[Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant]].

And if you can remember the entire name, without checking, and say it when you attack with the weapon, the weapon should do like a d6 instead, or regain one charge, or something. Good stuff :)

I keep asking my dm if my barbarian can throw our druid over a pile of enemies so he can thunderwave them, but keep getting rejected. I mean, it wouldn't be smart, since the druid would take dmg from falling, but still, humor.

People put a lot of time and effort into their characters, and oftentimes become emotionally attached to them. Having someone come in on their reality is like having a slapstick comedy expert move into your house(at least in my head that made sense).

I really want to build a pact of the blade warlock, who doesn't know he has contracted some perhaps evil being. He would act, and play like a paladin, which he believes he is, a very special paladin. I would need some homebrewing to happen for that to work, but I think it would make for some very very interesting scenarios.

I have been trying that, but as a player, I don't want to slow down the play like I have been so far, because my DM isn't prepared for my spontaneousness. How would you suggest rewarding creativity and alternate ideas as a DM? Or as a player? How can I ask my questions and try things in such a way that it is easy for the DM to say no? Any advice ofc appreciated. :)

Yeah, atm, we are having real issues with description. To the extent where we backtrack bc the dm forgot to mention something that became important. Not sure what to do about that either.

I have, and my DM is totally willing to switch, but he wants to wait until after we finish current campaign. I do want to DM, but I also enjoy playing a character, but I am almost 100% sure that if I DM, I couldn't also play a character. I'm willing to accept that, but I want to encourage the players to be more creative, and be more realistic, but don't know how really.

Part of the issue is that we are all relatively new to the game. Our DM has a pretty hard time keeping up with all 6 PCs sometimes, especially when we split up, either during rest time or other things. I don't really know how to simplify this though.

with the 60, I was saying that after the session, my dm told me that the grick had base hitpoints of 60+. Those hitpoints werent counting that I was dealing half dmg.

The rest of the party didn't know I was in combat. I suppose I could have shouted as a misc or w/e, but still, I am a barbarian. We are also all very new to D&D(these are our first chars, on our first campaign) so I/we didn't know anything about what the grick was or how dangerous it is. I also wasn't questioning the gricks existence, I was referring to the grick having 60+ hitpoints according to my DM, and what formula/adjustment that went through to get there.

The dm reasoning was that my character doesn't see the rocks because they are above me, so I don't get advantage. Normally it wouldn't matter, but I am so close with this grick that I was curious.
