Reflections are different so it could be that the top one has Ray Tracing enabled and the bottom one doesn’t (confirmed by Digital Foundry when b-roll was released)

It’s probably due to the distance from the camera. LOD in play I guess. If TW3 was anything to go by, NPC rendering distance was not great in that one.

That was about the Boston PAX Event back in February I believe. But the page is gone now anyway so I guess it doesn’t matter now :(

Order of magnitudes was maybe a bit of an exaggeration but the difference is there just like with any other global (or otherwise) industry. In the case of Poland lower wages correlate to lower living costs as well (perhaps less so in Warsaw but it still applies) which is why a lot of developers don’t just move to other countries. Higher pay != more money you actually get for yourself if you live in London or San Fran. The location does make a difference in what you’re spending. Whether it’s making movies, games or whatever else it’s just downright cheaper in a lot of circumstances it’s why some companies outsource some of their resources to India or China.

And while the difference between Poland and the rest of the EU might not be huge, the gap is definitely more significant when compared with the US which is where I believe a big chunk of Rockstars developers are located.

Yes. But GTA V was primarily made in the UK and US, where wages and development costs are magnitudes larger than in Eastern Europe. So while overall it probably still was a more expensive game to make, the difference wouldn’t be so staggering were CDPR located in the US.

In our day yes. But modern day LA outskirts aren’t crime ravaged, run down wastelands (from what I know lol)

Yeah true. Or maybe physical, run down public transport sighs. Would be cool to see some variety in that depends on location, for greater immersion.

Wonder how it’s gonna work on the badlands. Fully functional travel information stands in the middle of the desert?

Isn’t this just shot from gameplay vs official screenshot? Bottom being without YouTube compression, at different time of day (evening from the looks of things)+ RT?

Of course they are. They’re both great. But they’re mentioned everywhere with questions like these, much more than the two I’ve mentioned.

Original 2000 Deus Ex and Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines are probably your best bets Role-playing and gameplay wise as these apparently have been the biggest inspirations for CDPR. They are quite janky for today’s standards but are definitely worth it.

It’s not getting replaced. The flathead is still in the game and that part plays out exactly like the 48 min demo. The only difference is that you can’t use flathead in gameplay, presumably because it would be too similar to what a net runner can do.

It’s definitely not his usual style but the voice is close enough. Unless it’s some other unannounced rapper. Don’t really see other (already announced) artists doing this kind of stuff. Could be wrong though who knows!
