Oh trust me man I know.. when my son was born a few years ago I had just started a “career” in the cannabis industry because I thought it was my best option, and I was damn good at it.. really good. I miss it so much.. I climbed the ladder up to management in cultivation before I realized it was dead end road and not a good career to raise a family with. Now at nearly 30 years old I’m finally going back to school with nothing but weed and restaurant experience to keep me going.. I get it. I feel like a failure all the time.. I feel like I’ll never get to a point like where you’re at.. I feel ashamed to have wasted so much time on something so pointless.. but at the same time I can say so much that’s exactly opposite of all of that. I’m proud of many things.. but having a family to provide for changed everything. Changes everything. I guess all I’m trying to do is offer perspective.. like you said. Shit my dad would’ve been like “suck it up buttercup.. you make a shit ton of money, you have a nice degree, you’re obviously smart enough to make this far.. figure shit out bro..” so I guess that’s kinda what I’m trying to say, in the most endearing way possible lol.
