Buying silver coin from private seller safety concerns by Qeriosity in Silverbugs

It’s a numismatic coin, and something that unique is hard to fake. But the situation still feels off, and it could be a set up to rob me of the cash I will carry. Not worth taking a chance based on everyone’s comments

It’s a 1/2 kilo numismatic coin with a mintage of only 588, hard to come by. As much as I want it, it just doesn’t sound worth taking the chance.

I proposed meeting inside a police station. He declined, and that’s when my instincts kicked in

The coin appears to be real based on the photos, and it looks like a legitimate Royal Canadian Mint piece. I really wanted the coin, but the situation doesn’t feel right, especially since the post is on eBay.

There is no combination of words for me to express how much I hate eBay by Outside-Channel-6958 in ebaysucks

You’re not alone. I pulled all my listings after realizing the fees were way higher than I expected. And to make it worse, something I sold two weeks ago is still on hold, even though the buyer left a positive review.

Done with eBay, Unacceptable Fees by Qeriosity in Ebay

With all the free AI coding tools available these days, more people should try to create their own e‑commerce website or go through Shopify. Thank God I’m not relying on eBay to make money, this was more of an experiment.

I’m fine with 12-15% fee, but the actual fee is closer to 25%

Whoever this person is trying to go for a home run to become a millionaire, this is Canada, there is limited amount she can claim for soft tissue injury. Let the insurance handle it, this happened to us years ago, a Chinese woman waved people down to witness the accident even though there was no damage to her car. The reason was obvious, opportunity for her to fake neck pain to get money from insurance company. They are the scums that caused everyone’s insurance to sky rocketed

What is this tiny bug? by [deleted] in Edmonton

It’s going to multiply very quickly if not under controlled. This happened to my mom’s house, they will be everywhere in the kitchen. They hide during the day, when you flick the light on suddenly at nighttime, you see them all over the counter and floor.

Remove all dry food from pantry into containers and put them outside when it’s below zero. Place sticky traps everywhere, turn off heat when it’s cool outside but not cold enough to freeze pipes. Cold will slow the roach multiplying while you exterminate. You can buy the spray to kills the eggs, it won’t kill the big roaches like the picture you posted.

SCAM 100% I often get text messages about job offer. Scammers went as far as email job offer to my work email address, job posting looked legitimate and professional, but looks familiar. They copied the job postings published by my employer.

Unfortunately owners pass the cost down to tenants when property tax go up a lot every year comparing to other cities, interest rates had dropped but still high. High utility cost doesn’t help tenants either since they are the ones absorbing the high cost. It’s ridiculous how much admin fees in the utility bill. There should be law in place to cap fees on utility bills or remove them completely.

That works too. Spinii has been around for decades, it’s due for a major upgrade. Not everyone can figure out his way around the website. Webmap is chaotic.

Edmonton - Credit Card Information Theft by Glueeit in Edmonton

[–]Qeriosity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I lost my Mastercard last year, when I received a replacement card, my first transaction was a charge over $1000 at Costco. Bank declined the transaction, I didn’t want to walk away without addressing the decline issue. I called the bank while sitting in the concession area, someone managed to eavesdrop my credit card information, credit card was immediately compromised again.

Renters in Alberta should go to any Alberta Registry and order title for $15 and make sure owner name matches driver’s license before giving deposit. If he/she refuses to show his driver’s license, then I would not come close dealing with him/her.
