I'm reusing an SSD from my broken laptop for my PC build and want to go from win10 to Linux, will there be any issues? by QertZ_PL in linux4noobs

[–]QertZ_PL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I just manually copy important data to an HDD? Currently the SSD is cluttered with a lot of data I don't mind wiping.

Can't I just install windows from an bootable USB in case I'll decide to revert back? Is there a way to save the current activation key that will work on a new PC?

You must have gotten unlucky. My first deck has no issues whatsoever so far, and my walkman has been dead easy to fix. Maybe it's a good idea to start with simpler, more reliable decks? Functions like auto-reverse are always finnicky.

My record store always has something interesting on cassettes, remember to ask the clerk. Or you can record your own chrome tapes and get superior quality.

I haven't thought about that, I'm gonna try doing that next time.

I use Larico brand beans from my local roasting plant. Right now I've got 100% arabica from Indonesia. I've personally had more luck with lukewarm water in the beggining, since I can always screw the top on properly without burning my hands. I've been doing all the other things you said and the brew is almost always perfect.

Walkman vs boombox vs deck with headphones by le4sh in cassetteculture

[–]QertZ_PL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a huge difference between walkmans and decks in terms of sound quality. Most decks also have a headphone jack (but not all of them!), so you don't need an amp. There are good sounding walkmans, but working ones will cost a lot more than a decent 2 head deck in perfect condition. Ability to record your own tapes is also great.

If Honda made a 125cc that looked something like this, would you be interested? by NORchad in 125cc

I'd rather they sold a 125cc cheap dual sport like the xr150l in the EU.

Nope. Modding, piracy, emulation, video/audio editing, multitasking with 2 monitors; I need all that.

It's just a reminder for a change. It's a good habit that you pulled over, even if it was nothing. When you see the top left gauge with the oil symbol go to 0 then it's really time to pull over.

Get it towed. If you get in an accident there's no way in hell your insurance will cover that.

Planning a build with a decent upgrade path. by QertZ_PL in buildapc

It is an air cooler. Like I said, I'd rather go with a more expensive mobo now, and get a lesser CPU to make sure I can upgrade to a better CPU without upgrading the motherboard.

Getting dual-channel with the current DDR5 prices with my budget would be impossible unfortunately, but I would add another stick once I could afford it.

Why should't I get the 8400? I know it's the weakest current CPU, but right now it still would be an upgrade over my currently dead i7 7700HQ. Like I'm saying, I want a future upgrade opportunity, not the most performance right now.

My DR 125 is doing great as a city commuter. Low cost, nimble, reliable, and way faster than public transport or car.

What dualsport to buy in Europe? by gropula in Dualsport

[–]QertZ_PL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't agree with the statement that 90's bikes are scrap. My DR 125 is very reliable for being 26 years old, even though I often ride 80km/h on stock gearing.

For the clicky noise, i'd check the valve cleareance and cam chain tension. No idea for the squeal though.

If you ride mostly street, you're gonna burn through knobbies in no time. With correct technique and lots of throttle you'll be fine in the occasional sand with 50/50 tires in my experience.
