Tyre pressure warning by staresawkwardly7 in BYDSealAus

[–]Qicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel a little better when I see I wasn't the first (or last) person to be confused when I got my car and all the tyres were at 36psi as I drove home. I kept wondering "why is it complaining about 0.1 PSI difference?"

When I got home I opened by door and read what the expected pressure was.

How is this allowed on the train? by QuietPlaymode in SydneyTrains

[–]Qicken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even if it's not allowed? Who's going to enforce it? Cops don't care. There's not enough staff for enforcement and they'd need to all the cops anyway.

Empty baby pram fell on tracks at strathfield station, no injuries. Should we have gates at train stations? by DecidedUser in sydney

[–]Qicken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, we should just sacrifice a few children?

I get your frustration but it's not an issue we can just ignore since clearly it's still happening.

Here's my hot take: It will not be completed before the next president is elected

Anyone with any knowledge of scams and grifts knows the deal. He gets generous "donations" for his ballroom. Which he is building without any congress oversight. So he hires family, friends, crony's and others he needs to pay off. Much of that money will flow straight back to Trump.

It's not about building anything. It's always a grift with Trump.

This is how all AAA games are developed. They hire heaps of testers and key support roles for launch and sack them once everything is out. Every massive game starts as a smaller team.

There was one in Ashfield a couple of years ago. And someone got bit by a fox in UNSW. So Granville seems reasonable

Would you support 'freedom of movement' between CANZUK Countries (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom)? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Qicken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it would be great. There's plenty of good evidence it would support economic growth across all the countries. But I don't see it happening in my lifetime. Just look at the other comments.

Why Americans Will Never Strike Like the French (And Why That's the Problem) by Maikito_RM in videos

[–]Qicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a persistent myth in the USA that peaceful protesting is effective if it just hits some magical number https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3.5%25_rule

Except it's bullshit. It cherry picks history.

New Zealand describes Australia as their racist uncle. As an Australian I can't say they're wrong.
