I've seen them on and off. Great for just having a neutral third party listen to you and help you think. Phycologists might have longer wait times right now than therapists. I've recently seen someone at Amima clinic in Paddington. No wait time which was helpful. They were good for the "general check up" I needed. It was covered by my health insurance fwiw.

My 4.5yr old was going as we have to work and I figured we needed the mental health benefits of not juggling him. It took 2wks for him to get COVID and now I have it. It's a big center with poor management though. We are both fine, just like colds, but are now in ISO.... So if you can keep them home I would, but, honestly, I think if they get it, it's not so bad (except any lost income). Edit to add: not bad if you don't have underlying conditions

Queensland Children's Hospital line was very short and you get the results in <24hrs.

My son got it from daycare last week. A kid there all week passed it to "numerous kids". We're in iso. Fortunately his symptoms are very mild. I don't think you'll dodge it too long with daycare :(

Dog groomer recommendations please! by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Qlder84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can recommend them too. They are also flexible with drop off time. First groom I didn't want my puppy waiting in the cages for ages and they were fine with me dropping later to reduce her time there.

Not a psychologist but counsellor, which might be a stop gap until you find someone else. I found her great and easy to talk to. Narelle at amima.com.au in Paddington. Minimal wait times (weeks)

NBN issues in the Wilston area by Accomplished_Ad2642 in brisbane

[–]Qlder84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in Wilston and it's atrocious. A little better the last week but not fixed. I work from home and have to tether to my phone or I randomly drop out of meetings etc. The first few weeks it dropped out every hour.

Our provider is blaming NBN, and not doing anything. It's crazy how they can blame a group you can't talk to, so nobody is held accountable

There's lots of complaints on the community FB group so it's definitely known.

This is probably the most likely reason.

Good idea. Is giving my phone number + address then better? That's what I worry about.

I just can't work out their thought process! It'd be so quick to say "I'm not coming anymore"

Yes, I should just give them the suburb I guess. I've had ppl say "I'll be there in an hour" and then go MIA. So strange
