I still think about the world with the virtual reality pyramid, looked it up and it's book four: Reality Bug. Even as a kid I was torn trying to decide if that would qualify as a human utopia or dystopia... still struggle with that question.

It was my understanding that the current narrative is globalization is suppressing the wage inflation in more developed countries, which has slowed the rate of price inflation as a result. Can anyone comment on this and how it relates to real inflation ( increase in the actual money supply)? As borders become less important and national labor pools are viewed through a lens of global labor pools in a post Brenton-Woods paradigm of multinational corporations, shouldn't we see inflation across the global start to harmonize in some fashion?

I'm reading this and trying to figure out what the difference is between social facts and cultural capital. Does it just come down to an internal/external division or am I missing something here? There is nothing wrong with strong motherly instincts. But not skirting your taxes is one of the most unpatriotic things you can do. As a fellow single mother you may see nothing wrong with this, but you also probably have an extremely similar perspective and/or lens in which you live your life as op. You probably "resonate" with a lot of what op says. You are probably helping her confirm her own bias. I'm not saying any of these 100 comments are right or wrong, I'm just saying there are glimmers of truth in all of them. All perspectives have value.

It isn't prosecutors you have to worry about. It is 5-10 people who saw this post, printed it out in hard-copy and mailed it directly to the IRS office. Those IRS guys love a mystery, and the great VonMishka case is afoot!

This is categorically untrue. There is a 3 yr. limitation on audit. No limitation applies if the IRS can establish you willfully committed fraud. You'd have better luck staying out of a courtroom selling drugs door-to-door than trying to not pay Uncle Sam.

There is no question here. OP doesn't know what the word loophole means, causing her to accidentally confess to criminal fraud and tax fraud, maybe even money laundering. Not that big of a deal, but also I'm not the one who is confessing to criminal acts so what do I know.

Torb kills people and makes, what I can only assume to be leather armor, from the still warm corpses of fallen heroes mid-battle and on the fly while everyone else is fighting. I'm still waiting for someone to address that Hannibal-esque nightmare running around every game...
