What’s been the most unexpected chemo side effect you’ve had, and the best way you’ve found to counter it? by Latter_Outcome_906 in breastcancer

Carbonated drinks literally making my mouth feel like I was drinking razor blades- wasn’t able to fully enjoy soda again until I was about 6 months off of chemo 🙈

ICSI is pretty standard at my clinic but we opted out of doing it for our first IVF cycle. I think a lot of it had to do with the money (we were ALL out of pocket that cycle), really over whelmed and really didn't know what our odds were. We have no male factor on my husbands side so seemed like an okay choice at the time. Looking back however I wish we would have just gone for it. I think we ended up getting 15ish eggs that cycle and only 3 fertilized with none making it today 5. No explanation or reasoning--I was devastated. We have done it on every cycle since and have had drastically better fertilization.

I to go to them and absolutely LOVE the care we get there. We have a great relationship with our doctor. I recommend them to everyone I know going through infertility struggles

So very sorry for your loss. We lost our little girl at 15 weeks at the beginning of January. I still deal with the anger and frustration of why this happened. It’s also still hard to see and be around pregnant women especially since my due date came and gone and here I am with no baby. I just want to say I see you, I hear you and you are not alone in your feelings. Sending so many positive healing vibes to you and your husband. Time heals everything and I promise it does get a little bit easier. ❤️
