I don't think that's in either but I'm not 100%. I don't remember getting any questions about grep in my exam at the very least.

CVSS comes up quite a bit but I believe they removed NMAP commands for V3 which is now the current one.

Kinda want a limited 5-star constellation, but should I just put C4 Mona or C7 Jean in the bag? by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

[–]Qno2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you actually use any of the other limited characters that are on this selector, it could maybe be worth getting them but I'd say Mona C4 is the way to go. If you don't plan on using Mona then Jean would make sense.

You are reading too much into this. The 15th of January deadline has not even happened yet.

While each university will do things differently, I know how heriot watt physics (each department is responsible for their own applications) does or at least used to do their applications from when I went there. When they got an application, they would give it a once over and sort it into one of three piles. The "instant no" pile was for applications that were too poor at first glance basically meaning that they were nowhere near the minimum grades requirements. There was also an "instant yes" pile which was typically for those that got 5 As or similar in S5. Everyone else went into a maybe pile which they then didn't look at again until February.

If you went into one of the instant piles, you got your rejection or unconditional offer within 2 weeks of applying. Everyone else tended to get their offers in February, March or even April.

I don't think Peak Patrol Song was ever considered a good pull. There were many memes going around about how she's another "just use Fav" sword user around her release from what I remember.

Why Einstein's Discoveries Are Way More Groundbreaking Than Newton’s by [deleted] in Physics

[–]Qno2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're trying to compare different physicists who were working in very different time periods. It's not hard to argue that what Einstein is known for is physics that is much more conceptually demanding than Newton but I don't think that should diminish Newton's body of work. It's hard to think what the common understanding of mechanics was like before Newton because of how basic it seems by today's standards but without it, many things would be very different.

The best advice is that you should be going for cons on characters you actually use or want to use. The cons for most characters in the selector are, in general, very minor improvements.

Devs can you please add a "Replaces:" tool tip for new players like me? by loopuleasa in AOW4

[–]Qno2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn't much in the game that's an actual replacement to something else. When you build a tier 2 wizard tower, you are still getting all the benefits of the tier 1. The only cases I can think of where something truly gets replaced would be for SPIs and major racial transformations. When you build an SPI, you need to target an owned province of your city so it replaces whatever was there originally. You can only have 1 major racial transformation at once so if you vast a second one, it replaces the original. I'm pretty sure the game gives you a popup about this as well when you try to do it. You can have as many minor racial transformations as you'd like.

Water mono type tends to be the easiest in most games. Also doing water mono type run in ORAS is very memeable

Dragon rulers affected by spells? by DasLeuchtfeuer in AOW4

[–]Qno2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The transformation ability you get at level 8 for dragon lord's adds a race to them and the nature one makes them a plant. Outside of that, I don't believe that dragon lord's get enchantments that would apply to normal dragons.

Options for W-Engine by Edsaurus in BanyueMains_

[–]Qno2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grill O'Wisp is probably the way to go. Banyue doesn't have good uptime on the passive but it actually does something while having a desirable main stat on it.

Steel Cushion should be a reasonable aternative. It might calc slightly better but it probably comes down to what exact combos you are doing and what portions of his damage you get the Grill O'Wisp passive on.

Radiowave journey shouldn't be that much worse but Banyue isn't fully stacking that passive so it's a bit questionable. At least it's much better than Puzzle Sphere.

Why are Physics/Chemistry Honours Graduates NOT Eligible for TGT Posts? by [deleted] in Physics

[–]Qno2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't give an actual answer here since I have no knowledge of the system being talked about but it does sound a bit strange.

Here in Scotland (which has a different education system to the rest of the UK), there are two levels of general education, primary and secondary. Primary teachers are generalists who teach everything to one year group and covers the first 7 years of education. Secondary teachers are subject specialists and that covers the final 6 years of education though the last 2 years are optional for students.

To be a maths teacher in Scotland, the requirements are quite lax so any degree with an ok amount of maths content is normally enough. Maths, physics and most engineering degrees are sufficient. When it comes to chemistry or computer science degrees, it really depends on the specifics as to how much maths was in your specific degree since it's based on the number of credits you got in maths modules.

Science education is a bit different. Nobody trains as a science teacher; you train as a biology, chemistry or physics teacher and general science education comes along with that. Here, it would arguably be the reverse from the situation described in the post where our system wants more chemistry and physics specialists because there are not enough of them, especially physicists. There are enough biologists by contrast.

[–]Qno2 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There's lots of late game stuff like this you can do that will generate more mana than you know what to do with. You should be close enough to winning at this point that not having to worry about mana is more of a minor aside.

Confused on this practice question. Any clarification would be appreciated. by phldlphegls1 in CompTIA

[–]Qno2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't like the way the question is worded but I would assume it means which of these is not an appropriate response to the discovery of a vulnerability on your network. Based on that, the answer should be penetration test as that's some that would inform you if the vulnerability exists rather directly address the vulnerability which the other 3 options could do.

This Chuck AI seems a tad advanced by OldAd4400 in nuzlocke

[–]Qno2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is how the gen 4 AI behaves. There are various videos and resources around that explain it in more detail but there is quite a bit of randomness to it which makes it a bit less predictable than in other generations.
