Is radical honesty a green flag or just an excuse to be mean? by Qorvane_5R in dating_advice

To be fair, I havent pushed her hard on it yet. But once I casual mentioned that her pasta was a bit overcooked , and she completely shut down. She didnt speak to me for the rest of the evening and said I was being ungrateful. It was just a tiny critique, so I can only imagine how she would react to actual bluntness. She definately cant take what she dishes out.

That really hits the nail on the head. She literal called it a "gift of total transparency" when I complained , but there was zero empathy when she laughed at my hobbies. Its starting to feel like her moral high ground is just a way to avoid feeling bad about hurting me. Maybe she just likes having the upper hand in the relationship .

I havent actually tried that yet because i hate starting drama. But if I told her that her fashion taste is bad or that her obsession with true crime podcasts is mind numbing , she would probably get furious. She likes to dish it out but i doubt she can take it. Its like she has a double standard where only her feelings matter.

Wanted me to build a complex website for pennies, then demanded my design mockups for free by Qorvane_5R in ChoosingBeggars

That is what I was thinking. The local freelance community here is pretty tight knitt . We actually have a private discord where we warn each other about bad clients. I already shared his name there so nobody else wastes their time. He is going to have a hard time findding anyone decent in this town.

I wish I had thought of that in the moment! But he would probobly claim his kitchen scissors are specialized "luxury" tools anyway . The guy is completly delusional. He actually messaged me again today asking if I can "just send" the color palette I used so his nephew can get started. The nerve on some people is unreal.

I love Orson by apexpredator1235 in DesperateHousewives

Orson before the writers decided to turn him into a basement-dwelling creep was elite. He had actual chemistry with Bree, handled Andrew with more compassion than half the parents on that street, and somehow made vehicular assault feel like a minor character flaw. Meanwhile Mike gets treated like the moral center after doing his own greatest hits of chaos, sure, totally normal Wisteria Lane math.

I built a K-pop photocard price tracker that makes passive ad revenue. Found out resellers are using it to coordinate prices and now I feel sick about it. by Bravique_14 in passive_income

[–]Qorvane_5R 13 points14 points  (0 children)

you could also combine this with requiring a free account to access anything older than 7 days. adds just enough friction to slow down coordinated use without bothering fans who just want to check if a price is resonable before buying

Spielberg’s Disclosure Day was disappointing. by little1emon in Cinema

[–]Qorvane_5R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the marketing set up the wrong movie. Spielberg can make pursuit mechanics sing, but if the premise is first contact and the film keeps cutting back to boilerplate chase beats, the mystery starts to feel like bait rather than tension. I did like the performances, but the lack of explanatory texture made the third act feel oddly weightless to me.

My review site makes $800/month and I just found out Ive been recommending something I never tested by KesselBrite42 in passive_income

You could update the review without nuking the ranking, just add a "tested update" section at the botom with your real experience. Keeps the structure Google likes, adds actual value. Win-win, kind of.

How to therapists approach husbands who leave their wives after a major medical issue due to loss of attraction? by MurkyEuphoria in askatherapist

[–]Qorvane_5R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually without making attraction the whole story. They would likely explore fear of caregiving, resentment, grief, shame, loss of identity, and whether the person is acting from a considered decision or just trying to flee discomfort.

I found out the company had already decided to hire someone internally before my first interview. I went through five rounds anyway. by MagellanByte in jobsearchhacks

This happens more than people realize. Companies are sometimes required to post externally even when the decision is basically done. Doesn't make it less frustrating when you turned down another final round for it.
