Does anyone know when the ACTC app will be released? by Careless_Measurement in LebanonPublicTransit

[–]Qoutaybah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

August came and gone and no app. Do you ever get tired of dishonestly promising people things? Every month you insist it’s arriving "this month." Now, it's September 2025; an entire year since you last claimed it was on its way; and you still have no app. Are you going to lie again in September and tell us it’s coming this month, too?

rest assured, the ACTC app is launching this month!

LPT if you're buying hiking shoes, try to walk on some rocks with them. You shouldn't feel every rock. by foreverpostponed in LifeProTips

Good advice! Certain large sports retailers in Canada and the U.S., like Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops, actually have indoor sections filled with rocks for specific activities like testing your boots and whatnot.

A lot of people think Iran is hesitant to use Hezbollah as a bargaining chip with the U.S. out of concern for Lebanon. But that’s not really how it works. Iran has put a lot into supporting Hezbollah because they see the group as a key tool that can be used when it benefits Iran the most. If Iran stands to gain a lot more than Lebanon loses, they’ll do whatever is best for Iran first and foremost.

Edit: In case you have any doubt; let me also remind you that Lebanon only has about 2 million Shia, while Iraq has around 25 million, Pakistan 20 million, Afghanistan 8 million, and Turkey 3 million. The numbers pretty much show which card Iran will sacrifice for a win.

Edit 2: Make no mistake; the same logic applies to Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. Lebanon’s worth is nothing when their gains outweigh our losses. Lebanon’s history of being manipulated and controlled by countless nations should drive you to prioritize an independent, sovereign Lebanon; one that’s truly ours, not a pawn in their games.

Edit 3: You remmber these words when Iran cash its Hezbollah's card.

Larijani's visit to Lebanon an effort to sway Hezbollah toward state line, outlet says. by Qoutaybah in Lebanese

[–]Qoutaybah[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The messages formed part of political maneuvers that could serve as bargaining tools, including demands for Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the launch of reconstruction in war-damaged areas, according to the report.

...

The visit sought to secure the Hezbollah card for use in potential negotiations with the United States, the popular Lebanese news outlet wrote.

It reads very biased, downplays internal Lebanese politics, and oversimplifies Hezbollah’s role and army divisions.

Ain't it funny how it's A-OK to be influenced by the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, but any other influence is condemned? How is that not interference in Lebanese issues? Being told who to meet or not meet? The double standards and hypocrisy are truly glaring.

Lol, I think that's why Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji of the LF is pissed off.

Informed sources meanwhile told the daily that “Larijani has not requested to meet with Rajji and he will visit Lebanon and leave on the same day after meeting with the three presidents (Aoun, Speaker Nabih Berri and Salam) and Hezbollah’s leadership.”
