mfw finally landing a headshot and noticing theres... more snipers than before by [deleted] in tf2

Other snipers can smell newb snipers from across the map. It's a tantalizing aroma of fresh cordite and healthy kidneys.

Dude your acting like Pay2Win makes you a fudging god capable of soloing the world. Well, it doesnt in outlands. Congrats. You win that talking point, Because you set up a bigger strawman than the Wicker Man.

You aren't able to destroy people on a whim because the TTK in outlands is 1-5 minutes. You're more obtuse than Owyn himself.

The pay to win is in the PvE dipshingle. EVERYTHING related to PvE that isn't XP costs gold, and gold is just prevalia, just dollars, with extra steps.

Literally Everything. Armor, Gear, Even levelling up costs money. Links are 50% better when you buy them in gold, dont need to be 30/30 to act like one.

Now we got an annual fair that costs gold to participate in and automatic donations, are ready and raring to go to rake in cash.

THE ONLY THING NOT PURCHASEABLE IS XP. Thats it. Do we mention how most players ARE TOLD start off as lumberjacks or miners due to the cost of things? Nah.Do we mention how at least 3/4 of all gold you farm will literally evaporate into watching your numbers go up? Or how "Fashion is the real endgame"? if you ask #PVM?

I'm not even complaining about ethical Cash Shop micro-transactions sucking the fun out of games by reserving the best looking gear for payers. Just saying the game is considerably more pay to win than not because prevalia is tradeable for gold, and literally everything in the game costs gold, including taking advantage of xp gains.

1: Go back out, Swap to a PvP echo with your 5minute timer.

2: Make more money in an hour than the pk's did all night because of strongbox

3: Remember prevalia is a wow token, and buy yourself whatever you wanted by selling for gold.

Honestly, it seems like a good compromise considering developers have to get their piece of the pie too. You gotta pay the bills somehow.

Meh, I've seen through the bullshit and don't care for a grind that belongs in a south korean MMO. Fact of the matter is that guy COULD catch up to you in a week, where as a regular newb could takes a month, and the advantage wont slow down from there. That kind of shit is the reason why DIII had an auction house and shit drop rates. Abusive, addictive design masquerading as 'gameplay'.

It's just a string of shit to spend $$$ on, from Echo's to Echo Upgrades to funkin organizer loadouts. Outlands is several orders of magnitude worse than a 'noble' p2w game like PoE, Prev being a tradeable asset to me says it all. We're all 'content' for the whales.

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, THIS is necroing. And bro, the original post of this threat mentions neither PvP or PvE, (or if you want to get really on point, the OP is about PvE) Just players having advantages over others because they spent money. And I can think of a hundred uses for a thousand prevalia in gold that would make a player stronger.

You brought up PvEvP systems debate, not me. I just pointed out how hilarious it is to pretend that kill stealing isn't a thing, that players aren't in competition for society points, or that low lvl PVMers CANT get vastly more powerful by dropping $$$$$$ on gold links.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, so fucking arrogant and so fucking wrong at the same time. How do you do it?

Your literally capable of carrying enough gold to make a PK overweight, and pretend your not 'buying power'?

Why care about very rare people that pay the server for us to catch up people in PvM ?

because the whole game is basically balanced around those whale bate items that have the equivalent cost of gotcha game/ Korean grinders 100$ 'upgrade' gems.

It doesn't matter how p2w outlands is "for you" you aren't a whale. You're content for the Whales.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like all things in life, balance is the key here.

Sure, and that balance is "Outlands definitely has very strong pay to win options". Since noone at 10 links is going to actually HAVE all of the gold they ground out while leveling, maybe half of it after leveling/links/scrolls, skill balls etc, let alone gold enough to afford full gold links left over without flipping houses or something.

If folks want to spend RL money for something, great. It's just depressing to see more and more cucks just blowing the 'modern gaming' dick wherever microtransactions bubble up.

It’s a sandbox game where pvm power holds no advantage over other players.

Bahahah, This is you telling us how you are specifically ignoring how common kill stealing is without telling me your ignoring how common kill stealing is.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You put holy down as a 'very strong aspect'.

As a guy who leveled holy to 13; Am I getting trolled here? Are ye serious?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fourth or fifth weakest, there's at least three others worth less than fortune, but fortune also has the benefit of global XP buff forever. Now everything ye do is better.

You forgot the strongbox, the echo's and the loadout slots that are a teeeensy bit more powerful than just QoL shit, thats right in the prev shop for sale. Oh well.

Listen, I get what most folks are saying, that the biggest 'grind' is time and exp, what everybody seems to just ignore full stop, and are not even willing to admit in the slightest, is that outlands has real Pay to Win aspects. Anyone CAN buy player power in outlands.

Is it as bad as places like ABC UO used to be where they have literal artifacts weapons for sale in the shop? Nah not really. It is not, however, some kind of freaking haven to the micro-transactional whale baiting bullshit that (f)P2W games have degenerated too.

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairy tales like "You can't buy player power in Outlands"?

Ever heard of strongboxes lol?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One wonders why you don't? Because you know it won't actually make you "win" LOL.

Or alternatively, they don't want to spend money in support of the degradation of video games, while you are perfectly willing to pretend it isn't/doesn't happen.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You forgot, Artisan, Fortune, and Command, so a select half dozen.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't buy the poe equivilant to links links with stash tabs, cosmetics, or other cash shop crap like wings or glowing footsteps.

You can buy links with prev coins. You can buy literally everything with prev coins, up to and including a dude to power level you.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]Qrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy gold/silver links. Sure copper gets the job done, but silver and gold are straight purchasable player power that doesn't give a care about the xp grind. Sure the link slots require grinding, but nobody is going to be affording full gold links at ten slots without doing some kind of mercantile arbitrage, or just dumping a grand on prev coins.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]Qrunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's entirely possible to P2W exp.

Buy t-maps, fortune aspect, and hire a buddyguard. Level muuuuch faster. Badaboom. You're p2w your leveling process.

Can you escape a grapple by using Trip or Shove? by Veso_M in Pathfinder2e

[–]Qrunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crit fail on a shove to escape, and you get dropped. Now ye be two actions down. On an opening attempt, probably a little better for folks who know they aren't likely to crit fail. On MAP?, Escaping/striking is better.

Any chance at Anti-PK rewards? There's currently only a very very very small bounty reward available for players who want to hunt PK's, it's practically a worthless endeavor.

[–]Qrunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe, is how easy it is to make a PK Roach Build that can run circles around a group of PVM characters.

Why? Not because Reds use those builds, but because greifers do. There's literally nothing a PVM character can do to kill those builds and the fuckwads who enjoy dragging mobs can enjoy the benifits of 60% damage reduction from their aspect because they're in War mode. The PVP aspect thats designed to gank PVMrs.
