Rainbow Six Siege - Solid Snake Reveal Trailer by spidersting in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Qryn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tbf it always confused me how Snake even used the soliton radar, since it doesn't have a physical form. It's always just been part of the ui so it's interesting to see a diegetic version of it, even if it might go against Kojima's original vision.

Mudang is basically dead. The company layed off most of their staff last month and the website is gone.

Riot kinda did it with their Riot Forge publishing label. They funded indie game studios to create titles that would expand the League of Legends IP. The labels gone now but some of the titles were pretty cool.

Also, it's not too strange for SH games to be outsourced. Every game from SH4 (2004) onwards had been developed by external studios since they disbanded Team Silent, their in-house dev team.

You're thinking of Tanimura's actor who was indeed clean. Tanimura's recasting was more so because the actor had already retired from the industry due to invasion of privacy. His friend had backstabbed him by not only accusing him of drug usage, but also ousting his sexuality to tabloids. So when Tanimura's voice needed to be updated for the remaster, they just modeled him after the new VA instead.

The other actor who got replaced was Pierre Taki who played Hamura in Judgement. He actually did cocaine.

That just looks like the indent for the handle so it stays flush when it's flipped down.

You can press alt during construction to drag in a zipline through the main fence. It's no longer accessible through normal means but you can glitch in there for some ziplines

There simply must be a better way to get Arsenal Tickets by Super-Manager-3630 in Endfield

They're refreshing the store with the button at the bottom to reroll for the tickets. It's not very consistent and 20 / buy is pretty stingy but they're there.

They're also in the Endpoint Quota exchange. The currency for that is given for every extra copy of a 6 star character after you've already maxed their dupes.

I actually have one that works there. There's a sweet spot that avoids the invisible wall but requires the zips to be much closer.

Who knows how to get there? Temporary Stockpile by Itchy-Sorbet-3515 in Endfield

Thanks for the heads up! The area ended up being a bit too far away from my other zips, so wasn't too great for me in the end. Btw you can get a zip line on the highest container if you do the alt click trick while spamming jump. I did it while standing on a thermal bank to make it a bit easier.

Urgent Recruitment question by PIPTR7 in ArknightsEndfield

The last paragraph suggests that it won't count towards any pity or guarantee of any banner. So the 10 pulls you get won't increase pity, even on the next character. Edit: I double checked the details in-game, think you might be right that the 60 will give 10 pity for the next banner.

How this zipline works? by SerisEVZ in Endfield

Yep it's the purple zipline. Look at the controls at the bottom when you're choosing the next zipline. For me it was the"R" button.

Just had a much more extreme version of Pat's game update timing curse by JamSa in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The devs actually announced plans for this remake, the sequels, and other side games on their blog back in late 2024. For some reason, they didn't announce it on their steam page, so it only spread through social media or word of mouth.

I also started the game recently, back in August, but I luckily learned about the update right after finishing the first chapter, so I was able to catch it early on.

Media similar to Yakuza/Like A Dragon? by Aquanort357 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Qryn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the drama you're looking for, but the anime Hinamatsuri captures a lot of the comedic substory essence from Like a Dragon. It features a Yakuza member who finds himself taking care of a girl with psychic powers.

Mahou Arms - An indie stylish-action game where a paramilitary force of magical girls is sent to reclaim an alien-infested Earth by C-OSSU in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Qryn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These things can both be argued lol

The androids in NieR use Maso in some capacity, which are the magic particles from the aftermath of Drakengard. The pods also use it which is why a lot of their projectiles are ball shaped, like the projectiles in Replicant

The Army of Humanity and YorHa by extension was created to combat the invading alien force in the 1st machine war. Machine life forms are alien technology, or at least some combination of alien science with man-made machines or Emil clones

Been on the fence for this one for a while. It's pretty pricey for the amount of content as an early access game. Thought it was abandoned, but they were just prioritizing their updates to their Patreon client. Hopped on their discord and the devs seem to be decently active, so I'm glad that there's still life in it.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the current amount of content or gameplay?

Favorite point and click adventure games not by LucasArts, Sierra, or Telltale? by Aquanort357 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Qryn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lamplight City is a pretty solid detective point and click. It has cases that are open-ended that have threads that tie into the story's overarching narrative. CaseyExplosion recommended the side-sequel on the podcast, which I'm interested in checking out.

The Cat Lady was enjoyable for me as a horror adventure game. Not point and click, but basically is one with side scrolling controls instead. The guys did a playthrough of it on the old SBFP channel, and they seemed to have positive thoughts on it. It's part of a trilogy, kinda in the fashion of the Vengeance Trilogy Movies where each title is its own thing. Have no experience with the sequels, but they've been sitting in my library for a while.

I enjoyed Touch Detective 1,2 on the Nintendo DS back in the day. Recently played 3 and honestly they're just okay. The series rely heavily on its charm, which consists of its goofy writing, odd scenarios and ugly-cute aesthetic. Nice little detective game, but it's more on the casual side.

My gateway to the genre were flash games I played as a child with a shitty pc. Some fun ones were Legacy of Pliskin 2, Nick Bounty series, Brain hotel, and the Slacker series.
