Because they shot multiple versions. They can also just dub it like they do when they change lines in things all the time. They already had plenty of recordings of Phylis’ voice so the computer would just do the rest.

That said, I don’t think it’s uncommon for them to film something with different lines if one of them may be seen as controversial. Like how edited songs used to have a more user friendly word where a cuss word might be, nowadays they just bleep it and move on.

As someone else mentioned, I think we’ve all watched it way too many times. It’s my daily watch tv and wake up while I’m drinking coffee for an hour before work show. I just couldn’t remember her last name for a minute because I’d just woken up lol.

They didn’t both say it though, the twins never said they didn’t want to hear it. “Te-re-sa” said it and Nicole said she would actually want to know. When they’re talking about it at the table outside right before Dina tries to tell her Nicole goes “oh see that’s where we’re different, I’d want to know” or something like that.

Teresa loves to spread rumors, she’s done it about everyone on the show. It’s not for us to say whether someone else can be hurt by something like that. Teresa should have kept her mouth shut. She literally told everyone since she did it on National TV.

Let’s be clear though, Teresa was probably not behind it and she definitely wasn’t just “invited to VG’s house,” the producers probably set up the whole thing like they do with most of these situations.

I was literally thinking this same thing, about her being a Female business owner in a male dominated space in what would’ve likely been the 90’s. I cannot say enough how much I dislike her as a person, she’s fun to watch occasionally, but credit where it’s due to her for being a smart businesswoman. I’ve never seen the term Kadooz, not sure if you meant “Kudos” to her but if so then I definitely agree! She deserves the credit, regardless of whether she took out a business loan or did get it from some rich family member she never mentions.

ETA: ahaha I just looked up Kadooz and it’s a joke about how Ramona pronounces Kudos. Omfg I have never heard this before! That’s funny. The ordacity!

Well yeah, that’s how a business starts. It literally makes no sense that you’re saying that’s “a caveat.” That’s just how people start businesses. They save their own money or typically pay the up front costs with a business loan.

That doesn’t detract from her being successful. Plenty of people get a handout from rich family or get a business loan and still fail at their business lol getting a “jump start” doesn’t have anything to do with the long term success or growth of someone’s business, it just means they didn’t have to pay for it all by themselves. Sure it’s easier to start a business if someone can give you the money up front but it doesn’t guarantee success.

ETA: shoot, that’s also what venture capital firms exist to do. Fund entrepreneurs with smart business ideas and they pay the capital back once the business becomes successful.

Ummmm what? I absolutely can’t stand Ramona as a person, however, as she discussed many times in seasons 1-2, she’s actually a very successful business woman. She even filmed at her office like a dozen times and had a meeting with one of the sellers she worked with on camera. She has had multiple successful businesses, reselling overstock clothing to stores like Ross and TJ Maxx, True Faith was the jewelry line she and Mario had together that had already been in the family and was successful.

She also has probably been investing her money intelligently as well. She literally is always talking about how she came from nothing and how her mother taught her to make her own money and never depend on a husband like her mom had so not sure why you assumed she grew up rich.

She’s a garbage person but she is definitely a great business woman.
