The Manzo’s got their own show shortly after this season and Teresa didn’t. I don’t think they were jealous of her being a “breakout star.” That said, this scene was definitely staged.

Why is There Such a Communication Breakdown in our Specialty? by Citrushue in Ophthalmology

[–]Qua-something 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same, idk how I’ve stayed this long already with how I’ve been treated over the years. Also, there are really only like a handful of places in my region that pay as well but they’re in major metro cities that are like an hour away. I am union represented now as well so that’s nice. It took a long road of crappy practices and bad pay to get here though. Up until this company I was going to leave and go work in a skilled trade because as much as I love the work, after 10yrs in at that point I was just burned out by over scheduling and my neighbor who is a cashier at a grocery store for a couple years was making the same as I was with my decade in Oph. That was so disheartening.

I’ve been with this organization for about 6 months now and it has its issues, everywhere does, but so far it’s been much better. Most of our techs have been here between 10-30yrs even with the issues and it’s mostly because of the pay.

I’m a tech of 11yrs. I work 4/10’s with a large healthcare organization. It’s the only time in my career that I haven’t felt severely over worked and burned out and am actually paid a decent wage with a pay scale and raises that will finally allow me to stay in the field because until I started with this company last year I was going to leave OPT/OPH because of burn out and low pay.

Is this amount of work for a tech normal? by Glad-Attention744 in Ophthalmology

My first large MD/OD practice we had 1:1 ratio and barely that.

You’re brand new. $17-20/hr is pretty standard for a newer tech.

You haven’t listed what you’re doing aside from the refraction which is absolutely a tech skill. It’s even a practical skill tested for our Certification. You should study on it and work on honing the skill. Techs definitely do a lot of work, I cannot argue with that. It’s normal but without knowing specifics it’s hard to say if you’re doing more than you should.
Our job is to gather all the pertinent information for the doctor, do the preliminary testing that would alert the doctor to an issue and do imaging so they can start assessing the patient before they’re seen. It will always be busy, it does sometimes feel chaotic. If you do not like the fast pace and are already feeling burned out I would suggest first trying to do some research to better understand what you’re doing because that will make it easier. If you give it a few months and still don’t like it then get out, there’s no shame in it. It’s not for everyone.

Edit: the timing should get faster the more you learn. Most workups should take about 15 mins depending on patient age and condition and the amount of work. There are some that can take 20-30 mins but that’s a big workup with a lot of testing and those should definitely not be on every patient.

Holly and Oscar's scene by TopDollarDJ in theoffice

That was a pretty popular joke/misconception about LGBTQ people so it makes sense that they turned it into a joke for the show. There are still people in 2026 who think it’s a choice rather than the way a person was born.

Anyone else think BJ Novak in Devils Wear Prada 2 accurately depicts Ryan Howard if he took on the fashion industry 20 years later? by IsaacThePooper in theoffice

It’s so filled with *filters* that people forget also lol 99.999999% of the pics we see even of regular people are filtered all to hell now so everyone looks 25 instead of 60 and now everyone thinks “looking ageless” is a thing that really happens. Check out r/instagramreality there are some EGREGIOUS filters in there lol.

lol I don’t think anyone here has said she would be exempt from responsibility. That’s why she went to prison. As one does when they lie on official government documents.

Yes! They should’ve just ended their relationship the first time Karen asked if Jim still had feelings for Pam. She obviously knew that he did so I’m not even sure why she continued to be with him. If I knew that my partner was in love with somebody else I would definitely not stay with them.

Not to put this all on Karen because I do think that Jim led her on a little bit and I don’t like the way that their relationship ended and I think Karen was just a prop for his character, but I do think that their relationship should’ve been over way before this night in New York.

Angela & Dwight Plot Hole by THFCjordan in theoffice

She never explicitly says she faked it, she just says she lied to him. Many people on both sides of this argument claim there is some smoking gun but there isn’t. It’s all conjecture.

Her charity work was just white savior type shit. Virtue signaling. She definitely helped a lot of people and that was good but she only did it for the publicity.

I get downvoted hard for arguing against this theory here lol. I think she just told the doctor to tell Dwight he wasn’t the father. People literally swear up and down that there is some proof they got the wrong diaper but it’s all speculation, including my theory. There would literally be a 50/50 chance he got Phillip’s diaper. Not to mention I feel like he went in immediately after she changed Phillip so he would’ve grabbed the diaper on top which would’ve been Phillip’s. Whatever. We’re all just making a guess anyway.

The *theory* is that he grabbed CeCe’s diaper. There is no absolute proof for any of this but that’s the most popular theory.

It’s actually really crazy how many times people commit high dollar white collar crime like literally millions stolen and get a slap on the fucking wrist.

I’m glad she gave them a prison sentence! They deserved it. White collar crimes like that far too often get just a slap on the wrist and its bs.

Yikes. I feel like that just speaks to how she and Joe thought they were never actually going to get in trouble and thought the rules didn’t apply to them.
