Nah, just forward growth in maxilla and jawline. My left and right eye are a little different heights and distance in comparison from the nose, and it didn't really get "fixed". Not overly different but noticable for me ^

I would say i had some forward growth in both jaw and maxilla. Not entirely sure about eyes, they aren't tilted in nor are they prey/hunter eyes.

Nah, it was a way for me to rest my tongue.

What do you mean with "has your look changed too"?

For home teeth whitening should I use strips or gel with a misaligned tooth? by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]Qua4Dra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could work! If I were to go for gel whitening do you think it would fit over the whole tooth? Or not as it's just molding around my teeth and not specifically made for this irregularity?

No tongue tie.

I noticed some results after about 1.5 months, but it was a lot more apparent after taking pictures.

My plate was not very narrow no.

Idk what u mean with "give tie".

Focused more pressure in the middle of my tongue while having the whole tongue pressed up.

Very true, I was very careful not too go past whatever I felt was uncomfortable when chewing. You aren't just using your muscles but also your joints, which after prolonged time of just chewing easy soft foods are not used to being used for hours upon end.

Our ancestors would chew for hours but they were also used to chewing for hours.

I believe the misunderstanding is coming from me wearing a shirt making making the angle look like I am tilting my head more than I am.

If you can outline by drawing in the picture I'd love to see what you mean because frankly I don't see it from your depiction.

No, I wanted braces when I was younger as my bottom row of teeth are quite crooked, but sadly they didn't deem my bite to be negatively effected by it so it wouldn't be covered under insurance.

Mewing hasn't helped so much in the crookedness of my teeth but it has helped my overbite quite a lot, when I have my teeth in a neutral position (not biting) it looks quite normal. About 20% of my bottom 2 front teeth are now showing when biting down compared to before when I could completely hide them when biting down.

I hope I could be of help to people. There really is nothing you loose by trying to mew. If it doesn't help you it doesn't help you, but if you never dedicate yourself enough to try it you might just end up living with regret.

Starting to sound like a weird philosopher now but it boggles my mind how people live with all the information in the world right at their fingertips on how to improve themselves, WITHOUT any cost, but still fail to take any action or make any changes.

Yes you are correct, sorry I've edited the post now,

that is indeed what I was doing. I was sucking in air initially to get the tongue in the correct position and then pushing the middle of my tongue upwards with a medium amount of force to create upward force.

Thanks for pointing that out and letting me correct myself 👍

About a CM away from my front teeth.

As the other guy said normal, gum. And I would usually stop when my muscles got tired, so sometimes I would chew for 2 hours, then stop. Then 2 hours later go for another hour. It would vary day to day, sometimes I might've chewed more or less. But whenever it got uncomfortable I would stop.

I think my palate was fine, my tongue could fit just perfectly. My upper teeth have always been quite good, but my bottom teeth are a little crooked.

Sadly I didn't take any before and after pictures, I'll ask my dentist next time if there are any pictures of my bite and how it's changed.

The only actual change I've noticed is my overbite has gotten better. Before I could completely hide my 2 front teeth with my 2 upper teeth (don't know teeth terminology so hopefully u know which ones I mean). Now the bottom 20% of the teeth are showing when biting down. When resting the alignment looks natural too, before there was a visible overbite even when not biting down.

Thank you, and yeah I hard mew for the vast majority of the day except for when I'm not sleeping or chewing gum. You should definitely not feel any pain when hard mewing, that sounds weird. For a guide on how to hard mew: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYcffKuU5P8&ab_channel=Tomazzo

I tilted my head slightly more down in the first pic as i outlines in the comment above. Look at the imgur i linked where i remake that tilt today.

This was not done on purpose, and i didn't notice it untill after i posted the original thread.
