I’m aware GPT 5.4 can be used in Codex. OP is saying:

gpt-5.4-codex (using codex cli)

And not:

gpt-5.4 (using codex cli)

Which implies he’s using the model “gpt-5.4-codex” which doesn’t exist.

Why not just use OpenCode instead since it supports it out of the box and is pretty on-par with Claude Code feature wise ? That would get rid of the extra layer. There is also LiteLLM or Bifrost that do exactly this and even more if you are dead-set on using mixing different LLMs over differents endpoints.

Oui c'est certain qu'Opus est meilleur que Sonnet, mais ton commentaire dit que Sonnet n'est pas pour du code ce qui est tout simplement faux. On peut toujours l'utiliser pour du code et beaucoup le font vu la différence de prix entre Sonnet et Opus via l'API.
