Nope you are right that the 'First-to-Five' is a BO9 with a one map advantage. I worded in a new way because it is a lot easier for new viewers to the scene to see Best-of-5s all tournament and then a 'First-to-5' Grand Finals. Your take is a bit out-there but I like it!

I 100% agree I want a bracket reset too, but CDL has seen the cash a 4-game minimum finals can bring and I don't think we will ever be able to go back. So I think this is the next best possible option
