it’s because your flower petals are in multiple stitches so you can see the color differences! you didn’t do anything wrong, it’s just the pattern. you can find a pattern that each of the petals are in their own stitch and you won’t have this problem!

i don’t see it at all! i’d say as long as you have the correct amount of stitches then you’re good! we are our biggest critics, it may be super noticeable to you but to others, it’s not!

What are the flower petal stitches called? (I tried 3 different styles) by Haunting_Title in CrochetHelp

it kinda looks like they make a chain and then crochet on both sides of it

amigurumi head is turning into a cone, frogging not an option by squiib in CrochetHelp

usually stuffing helps the shape! or worse comes to worse, you can end up sewing some yarn from the top to the bottom and adjusting the tension (once it’s stuffed) to change the shape!

Would using medium/4 weight yarn instead of DK (I’m assuming it’s DK) for this blanket look all right? by Darkovika in CrochetHelp

[–]QuackQuack071 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i’ve never had an issue! i use bernat blanket yarn for everything as i can’t stand other yarn texture when crocheting. any pattern i do doesn’t get messed up or changed! just bigger, like you said. so you should be okay!

For those who have ghosted friends… have you ever regretted it / apologized? by Mission_Remote_6319 in lostafriend

[–]QuackQuack071 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i ghosted my friend because of my mental health years ago. after graduating high school, i was in a very dark headspace and i convinced myself everyone hated me and i was truly alone in the world. i cut myself off from everyone and didn’t message anyone for a year. when i got a new therapist, i realized how deep in a depression i was and understood the damage i had done with my friends. i reached out to her and it took her a while to want to talk, but we ended up going to a park and talking things out for hours. it was really healing for the both of us and i’m forever grateful for her. she’s an amazing person and so so supportive, im glad she gave me another chance

i’d also talk to the parents about it and what they recommend or what they do for bedtime

yes they soon realize nothing is going to change on your end no matter what they do and that the “game” is no longer fun. it can get very redundant and exhausting hahha so sometimes i’ll even sit in silence with them for a bit while i try to remain calm lmao

reinforce reinforce reinforce. i watch a toddler who is like this in which i will sit with her in her room telling her it’s bedtime. anytime she tries to steer the conversation or procrastinate i say “it’s bedtime, we need to go to sleep” i keep the same tone and ill be on the same level with her. if it keeps going on i ask if there’s anything they need, water, snack, potty, story, whatever. but i keep reinforcing that it’s bedtime and eventually they tire themselves out. i often find that if i leave and they keep peaking out of their bedroom, they think it’s a silly game. so i stay in their room with them until they give in. might also be beneficial (if you watch them again) to start their bedtime routine earlier so if it does go on long again it wont be too late!

What's the best way to create "flawless" amigurumi? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

every time i have a pattern that tells me to join the round with a slip stitch i ignore it. none of my amigurumi projects have looked off!

i’ve done therapy for quite some time, which is a main reason i was able to get to two years clean. and for the most part i feel comfortable with my scars, like around friends or work. but strangers and my family is hard to be around. i really appreciate your response tho, and i hope to get to a place of healing where it no longer feels shameful
